The food was decent, only ordered fried dough and it was pretty good to be fair. This review is almost exclusively about the atmosphere. The main attraction was Bryan Conway, the live musician for the night. Supposedly, every Monday night, Bryan comes to play at the outdoor seating area and man is it worth the visit by itself. First we showed up for drinks but returned hours later on recommendation from the bartender that Bryan was known to put on a great show. And boy did he put on a show. The guy put on a killer show for three hours, one-man-band style shredding on his tricked out keytar and, for someone his age, had plenty of energy and a great voice. For a Monday night in New Hampshire you would be hard-pressed to find a nicer, more talented guy just having fun with his craft. He played all the classics from Steely Dan to Van Halen and everything in between. Absolute legend, gotta go check out his set. Bryan Conway,...
Read moreI'm giving this place one star only because the service was good. The food on the other hand was terrible! I ordered the fish and chips which was $15.99 and it was terrible. The fish was clearly frozen!! I understand that fish isn't always fresh but honestly Grotons frozen fish would have been better! I went with four other people 3 of us had the fish and chips, one of us had the chicken teriyaki, and one had the pulled pork sandwiches. We also ordered 2 apatizers. The bill came to just under $150. absolutely ridiculous!! You can go to the weathervane restaurant at the other end of the board walk and have a great meal for a lot less and fresh fish and lobster. I have been going to Laconia for the past 34 years and needless to say I will never go back to this restaurant! I should have realized when I looked this place up online and saw no menu or website that it wasn't going to be good. I definitely don't...
Read moreI was disappointed with my experience here. I went with the family while in the area. It has a small indoor seating area and a large outdoor seating area. There is a bar outside with full bar menu. Or you can order family food at a window and wait for your buzzer to alert you that your food is ready to be picked up. I felt the service was extremely slow and not very friendly. I felt like I was a burden asking for my order. The food was a little pricey but I expected that for the area, but everyone had something missing from everyone's plate and it just wasn't that great for the price. There are other places in the area for food. I'll definitely try somewhere else when I'm in the area again. It's too bad because they have a very nice setup but I didn't find it worth...
