My wife and I have been here several times. We have also brought our sons for dinner -and drinks. We have been satisfied with the food, drinks and service. Unfortunately we had a bad experience this evening. We approached the bar hoping to sit in a good spot to view the tv for the Celtics playoff game (7). We asked the bartender if the previous customers had left and we were told they did but a moment later a young man and woman approached us and angrily stated that we were in their seats. We apologized stating that we were told they had left and we moved our seats. After a few minutes we came to find out that this young man and wioman were there with a group of family members and they were under 21, I believe that individuals who are not of legal drinking age should not be taking seats at the bar. This young man gave us attitude and his older family members did as well. They were confrontational and made us uncomfortable so much that we left the restaurant. Although it wasn’t completely the staff’s fault, I do feel that they shouldn’t have allowed 18 year olds to sit at the bar when seating was limited. I am disappointed that they didn’t do the right thing in this instance. As for the young man, he will suffer the consequences of his entitled attitude. Unfortunately he was not...

I am disappointed in our experience and would not recommend unless you have a lot of time and low expectations. When my husband and I arrived, there was no one to greet us, we stood for 5 minutes at the front with employees filtering by and no one spoke to us. When someone finally did, they told us it would be a 15 minute wait. No problem, it's a Saturday, we get it. They seated us and told me that it was going to take a few minutes for our waiter to come, they were helping others, again not a problem. Gave us time to browse. 10 minutes later a waiter came by to take our order. We then proceeded to sit for over an hour, with the waiter coming by every 15 minutes or so to say "your food will be right up.." All in all we spent over 1.5 hours waiting to be seated and to eat. There were only 2 of us. The restaurant was not overly crowded. There was no explanation as to WHY we were waiting. The waiter did not apologize for the wait. Since we are not locals, I am not sure if this was just an off night, or how it is. But, I would have appreciated transparency and for someone to just act like they care that we spent 1.5 hours waiting on a subpar meal. I don't like writing these types of reviews, but felt given the poor experience that it may be helpful to other travelers who are considering...

We were seated quickly and the staff was very friendly, they brought us warm tortilla chips which were great, but that's about the only good parts to our visit. As soon as we sat at our table my shoe got stuck to the floor as I tried to scoot into the booth, and we were instantly swarmed by tiny fruit flies and some bigger flies. We asked for the table side guacamole but were told they had no guacamole that night. Ordered the queso, and a cheese quesadilla for my toddler, they came out very quickly but the queso dip was lukewarm and clumpy. The quesadilla was cold on the inside, but the cheese was melted but clumpy. I did not feel safe having my toddler eat it. We decided we would finish our margaritas and go. The margaritas my dad and I had were very tasty, as I finished mine I saw there was a nasty gooey brownish chunk in it, which my older daughter described as looking like throw up in my glass. My mom did not enjoy her margarita, as it was served with rotten fruit on it. When we got the bill we were shocked to see it was nearly $80 and mentioned we did not want to pay for the inedible quesadilla, but they did nothing to fix their mistakes. I would not recommend this place to anybody and will...

My husband and I along with another couple just spent a week in Laconia, NH. We stopped at Vida Mexican Restaurant the first day of our arrival and was so impressed with the atmosphere, customer service and food that we visited again the day before our departure. All of us are world travelers and by far, Vida offers the best Mexican food we have eaten. Both visits, I ordered the Camarones A La Diabla. I grew up eating spicy foods and asked for my shrimp to be extra spicy and it was perfect. The portions were large enough to have take-aways. The platters remained warm throughout the meal so we were able to enjoy the food not getting cold while eating. I don't drink alcoholic beverages, but the other people in my party said that theirs tasted wonderful. We ordered flan for dessert but I did not like the addition of whipped cream and sprinkles with mine. I make flan myself and just wanted flan. The next time we are in New England, we will be sure to make Vida one of our stops. Salud!

We’ve been to all of the must hit restaurants around the lake countless times - Shibley’s, Ellacoya, Lago, Lakehouse, Garwoods, O Bistro/Steak and Seafood, Canoe, Faro (RIP) etc. Vida is definitely a worthy addition to the list. A nice casual in between spot for lunch/dinner with different menu options is exactly what was needed around here. A stones throw from Weirs beach, Vida has great food, drinks, and service. You just can’t beat sitting down and having a friendly bartender slide you a 22oz ice cold draft Modelo for only $7.50, along side a free basket of warm chips and fresh salsa. We ordered the enchiladas verdes and chicken fajitas - everything was excellent. The food was hot, fresh, and well seasoned. The portions are also very large despite more than reasonable prices (pictures don’t do justice to plate sizes). Vida is a must try and definitely our new favorite after such a great experience.
