Chuy's — Restaurant in Lafayette

I've been throughout numerous states with chuy's. All were good but not this one. First off food doesn't taste like the others. I've always been able to go and order off the kids menu. (I can only eat a certain amount.) so the bar manager told me that we are not allowed to order off the kids menu anymore unless it's 12 & under. I stated it does not say anything like that on their menu and I've always been able to eat off of the 12 and under including this location until now. They stated they were under new ownership and they are not allowed to do that anymore. On top of that the bar manager was making rude comments to customers (which I found out was family of the kitchen manager) & the kitchen manager was the one that told me he was in charge and we were not allowed to eat off the children's menu. We decide to move to a booth to get away from the rude bar manager, and that's when we saw constant employees taking shots of sangria to the back and drinking it.. which I got video of.. then we noticed the bar manager eating and prepping food with the same gloves and not washing hands. Waited 35 minutes for a table when we were told it'd be 20. Nobody apologized for our extended wait time. Took 10 minutes for a waitress to show up. The chips were so greasy they were wet. The ground beef in my soft tacos was kind of warm, tortillas were dried and curling up from sitting under a heat lamp. Rice was flat cold. Refried beans are something I've never experienced at any "Tex_mex" restaurant. (sorry I lived in Texas for 15 years and these were flat strange) Not necessarily bad, just kind of odd. Taco's are un-assembled meaning meat only and you have to fork everything else into the shell. Really guys? I can make much better beef taco meat at home... and guess what I have to assemble them too!! Wife and I's bill came to a bit over $38 dollars. Frankly not a good value at all. Another commenter hit the nail on the head. Lafayette IN has PLENTY of better Mexican style restaurants to choose from. Im done with this location. I knew i should have never gone back after they messed up my order. Then called me a liar. Like come on. No lettuce no tomatoes. Been ordering food for 45 years. I know what I dont like. Anyways. This last time they forgot to lock the door. I walked in less than 5 minutes before they opened. Me assuming it was unlocked because they were open. 3 people looked at me like I was robbing the place told me rudely they were not open and I need to leave. Wow! So me really craving this food. Waited. Was the first person in the door. They made me wait for 7 minutes to order. That was total bs. Then people were already eating before I got my very simple order. Hers the kicker.
