My dining companion becomes bored with repetition. He has found something to dislike about most of the places we've eaten. But not Colorado Wok. Small portions disappoint and do not satisfy my companion. Colorado Wok never disappoints, and he always leaves happily sated, with a leftover box for the next day. (He also says Colorado Wok's food is the only food that tastes as good the next day!) And the prices are quite affordable, in an area where restaurants can be pricey. No matter what we order, the food is CONSISTENTLY prepared and presented. How do they do that? The poultry and meat taste tender and fresh. The vegetables taste like they are right from the garden. (Turns out, they are! The owners grow the vegetables organically in their home garden.) The flavors are so darn good. My mouth is filling with saliva, as I type this. (That's autonomic - you can't fake it!) Another thing I appreciate is that the food stands on its own flavor and is not heavily salted. My cardiologist appreciates that, too! My family and I have enjoyed many dishes, sometimes in the restaurant, sometimes via take out and sometimes with home delivery - which has been surprisingly quick (though I imagine that is subject to staffing and demand.) Ordering online is easy, and there are clear pictures of each item. (I wish all restaurants would do that.) Our favorites include: chow fun, dumplings, lo mein, scallion pancakes, eggrolls, Thai curries, various chicken, fish and beef dishes. My companion and son-law both agree that the fried rice is THE best friend rice they have had... and they always order a dinner combo that includes it. My daughter delights in the boba, and when my body desires simpler fare, I can always get something steamed. It's easy to steam too little or too much. But Colorado Wok does it so ingredients are tender, but still so flavorful. My favorites at this time are the tofu red curry, which comes in a big bowl with lots of fresh veggies, and a separate big bowl of rice. (You can choose white or brown - I get brown.) The flavor of this curry is indescribably delectable. I have tried to replicate it at home - unsuccessfully. And then, there is the thing I could eat all day, every day - the egg drop soup. Before Colorado Wok, I always thought egg drop soup was fine. I could take it or leave it. But Colorado Wok takes it to a new level. I don't know what they do to it to make it taste the way it does - but it is truly happiness-making. (I probably shouldn't tell you this, because I really want it all for me. Oh, well.) We usually don't have room for dessert, but on birthdays, we make room, and their desserts possess the prerequisite decadence. As a bonus, the fortune cookies are never stale, and they generally have good fortunes in them - even if you don't add "in bed" to the end. I am disabled and this restaurant is easily accessible. There is ample parking and the bathrooms have just been renovated, so they are sparkly and new. The restaurant is clean and generally low key. The tasteful instrumental muzac plays softly, and it is easy to have a conversation over dinner. Though there is usually a steady stream of people picking up takeout orders, it is not disruptive, because they are not in the dining area. Best of all - yes, even better than the egg drop soup - is the service. Yuki and her staff are sincerely welcoming, kind and attentive - without being obtrusive. Drinks remain filled as long as we want, and we are never rushed out of the restaurant. In addition, if we need a modification, as long as we ask for it beforehand, they are generally happy to oblige. They make you feel like honored family returning home. And after just a few visits, they even remembered what we loved most. The food at Colorado Wok is singular. Combined with the service, it is simply irresistible. (And no, I have not been paid to write this review, but if I were, I would ask to be paid with a vat of their egg drop soup!)

As a faithful customer of this restaurant for over 10 years, tonight, they lost me… We have ordered the same basic menu items every single time, this time, we paid the same amount, but got half as much food. The manager told me that I was wrong, told me that I didn’t get anything different than I always have. I could say with 100% accuracy that their new food containers do not hold the same amount of food as they used to, What used to feed three or four people now will feed two. And for $50 plus tip for the driver, we’re talking about a $60 dinner. So I called the restaurant, and I spoke to an Asian woman who claimed to be the manager, and she told me that I was wrong even though every member in my family said the same thing that there’s not the same amount of food. For $50 plus a tip you should get enough food to feed three or four people no problem. This time there wasn’t enough for three people even though we had four.. After 10 years, I know what I’m talking about, but she swore up and down that I was mistaken. There’s no mistaken the size of this container. It is not the same size …end of story. The picture shows the new container, and I only wish I had one of the old ones because they used to go straight down from the top. It’s easy to see that this can’t possibly hold the same amount as a container that goes straight down from the top. I get that restaurant needs to do things to make ends meet… But you don’t have to lie to your customers to save a buck. I told her I have no problem paying for my food. But when you only get half as much as you’ve used to… It kind of sucks when you can’t feed your family With a $50 order . Update, my daughter called and talked to the same woman that told me that they were using the same size containers for five years, that’s funny because that’s exactly what she didn’t say to my daughter. She told me the company that used to make the old containers… Does not make the same anymore. She has been buying them from a different buyer. They are much smaller. It does not take a rocket scientist to look at the two sizes and figure out that you are getting half of what you used to get that’s all. I am a 60-year-old engineer, I am not a rocket scientist, but I can tell you with 100% accuracy that they are charging the same amount perhaps as much food. End of story.

I don't know how to start this besides The way I feel right now I feel disgusted disrespected the picture tells it all!! Today at 7:00pm 8/15/24 I ordered food for my family but before I get to the food incident I would like to say the young delivery guy around his twenties it's more disrespectful than anything my order came out to 50 and some change as soon as I came to the door I paid I give him five bucks in tip I understand maybe the tip wasn't that big but do know we live in times times are hard right now so five bucks is better than anything he complained to me that it wasn't enough I looked at him and said get off my property and I told him I have family that work for the city of Lafayette and my neighbor is a cop so he took off fast because he knew he was in the wrong and without knowing how my condition my food is I walk in my house I open the bag and seen what I seen the rice it's outside the container all over the bag and food don't get me wrong I almost wanted to contact the restaurant and let them know what's going on but to be honest I have eat here for many times now and the food is decent but it's not all that there's times they do mess up and they do fix the problem that's why I don't tip as big because as soon as you walk in the house something is wrong with the food they need to replace all the employees and get rid of the bad employees that bring the company down just like they should get rid of the driver that deliver my food and that told me it wasn't enough for tip because that's disrespectful and because of that I am not going to eat here ever again I'm going to leave this post up maybe in my good heart I will take the post down but I will only take it down if they fire that guy my family eats there all the time but this time they're not going to eat there because the food they're going to eat there to make sure that guy is not working there anymore to look around to see if they recognize him to let me know if he's fired and to make sure he doesn't do this to anyone else because I paid in cash I probably won't get my money back but I will make sure this don't happen to the next customer by posting this post and for all the people that like Chinese food that live in Lafayette I recommend Double Happy restaurant in Louisville co
