Called in ahead of time to ask a question about a UPS battery. They were helpful. I mentioned the online 10% discount and was told I could come into the store and it still applies. I asked if it'd help the store and was told yes. I wanted to help the store so I was okay with it.
I came into the store. I asked them to look up the UPS and see check the battery we talked about on the phone. They said they weren't connected to the internet and it's a cash register. Fine, no worries. I look it up myself and give him the exact ID. I then mention the 10% discount given on the phone and was told that it's not possible and I'd need to order online. Okay fine. They grabbed the batteries and they were sitting right there in front of us. I order online to their exact store. So I ask if I can pick it up and go but nope. They have to wait for their system, which they stated doesn't have internet, to receive the order.
They just stayed on their phone so I left and waited outside. After 30 minutes, they brought out the cleaning bucket and I didn't get my batteries. The store closed.
They had a phone. They could've helped me find the right battery. They could've given me the batteries based on my verified order. They could've called the main office to verify the order. They could've at least humored me with an apology for an awful system. 0 customer service or human awareness. A wall with googly eyes would've been a better experience.
Unfortunately, it doesn't end here. I call up main office and ask to cancel. They have to call this office and what do ya know, they don't pick up... I'm told I'd get a call back. I call again next day and the person who was supposed to give me a call back isn't available. No worries, you'd think they'd offer a discount for the troubles, but nope.
I let them know I'll do a charge back and left it there. Hours later I get a call from the director of sales. They'll cancel the order and give a discount. Turns out, they SOLD the battery for the order I was supposed to pick up. Even if I had shown up, I wouldn't have the battery to actually pick up.
They called me to refund the purchase. They wanted me to come in person to swipe my card since the register doesn't save the cards. I didn't want to waste more time so I just informed them I'd rather charge back. Suddenly, there was another option! To give my information over the phone! The irony here is that I paid online, I never paid in store because they wouldn't give the discount that way...
The point is: The a sales person isn't helpful. There is a lack of communication between the staff regarding applying discounts and they can't stand behind their word. If you have to come here, do a pick up via online purchase. If you care about self respect, go elsewhere.
Oh and I just bought the batteries from Amazon for half the cost.
Edit 1: Responding to the business response: This is the location I've visited. It's verified.
Edit 2: Business edited their response. I won't be contacting anyone, I've already tried and I was failed...
Read moreDid you know that Batteries Plus has Car Batteries??!!! I called the Lafayette CO store yesterday and told them the kind of Car I had, and they had the car battery I needed. I showed up this morning, the battery was waiting for me! First Sam, at Batteries plus, checked my old car battery to be sure that was the issue my car sometimes would not start (it's "load" was lower then 1/2 what it should be) Then he proceeded to take out the old battery, install the new battery. NO labor fee OR Disposal fee!!!! I was in/out of there in all of 15 minutes. THANKS SAM!! This store never ceases to AMAZE me! The staff is extremely knowledgeable and kind, especially Adrick and Caleb (I hope I spelled their names correctly). Their customer service is spectacular! SO hard to find these days. They go above and beyond! Whether it be a "battery", Light bulb, exit sign, or need someone to reprogram your faab for your car (at a fraction of the cost from a dealer) THESE GUYS TAKE THE CAKE! Even if you dont need a battery, go in and talk to these guys. They will renew your hope in mankind and fantastic...
Read moreI am definitely coming here to echo these other comments. The staff is friendly and helpful, actually interested in helping the customer. I had a terrible experience at ubreakifix. Terrible. They make appts via call center that doesnt conincide with whats happening in store, hour long wait just to be told, "we don't do that even though you made an appt and explained the issue over the phone." And then rude as heck. So I needed this positive experience at Batteries Plus or I would have been forever scared to go to an electronics store again. But yeah, thanks to the staff at Batteries Plus, my faith in fellow man has been restored. And my thing is fixed. It is a Anki Cozmo robot, so a peculiar thing to bring in but right away they got to looking at it and seeing how they could help and they fixed it so my kids are thrilled! ...
