Update 6/28/17: Decided to give them another shot, thinking last time was just a temporary staffing issue. At least I got food this time, but it took 42 minutes in the drive-thru! I pulled up to the drive-thru and 10:01 pm. Six cars in the drive-thru. Sat for ten minutes until I got to place my order, and the time was 10:13 pm. Got up to the first window to pay and it was 10:25 pm, and finally had food in my hand and pulled away at 10:43 pm. I ordered the new BBQ Smokehouse burger, only to get all the way up to the window for them to say they ran out of the fried onions they put on the burger. While in line, at least three cars pulled out of line and went next door to Burger King. Looked like they just had one person in the drive-thru register taking orders, and the manager and one employee working the counter and drive-thru line. It is ridiculously slow. You can get in and out of a sit down restaurant in 45 minutes.
April 2018: Seriously, what is up with McDonalds? I pulled up to the drive-thru menu to order the same time someone else pulled up in the other driver-thru lane. It was 11:27 pm. I sat there for about five minutes, thinking they were just taking the other guy's order. But then the other guy just drove away. Sat there for another 10 minutes, and nothing. So I drove forward to the first window and no one was there. There were two cars sitting up at the first window. I sat behind them for a few minutes, then just left myself. This, along with being out of food when you do manage to get service, it is a wonder McDonalds is still in business. The "new" McDonalds...
Read moreThe food wasn’t really noteworthy but it wasn’t entirely bad either. Burger wasn’t pretty but it was at least assembled correctly. Fries were fresh and hot but could’ve used some more salt. Fountain drinks seemed watered down, and the Shamrock shake didn’t have a whole lot of the “shamrock” flavor. Everything was about average.
Service was pretty decent. I think the one who took my order was inexperienced. I asked for a Double Bacon Quarter-Pounder with Cheese, and he replied “a bacon double burger with cheese? Oh! So a bacon McDouble.” Which was obviously not what I asked but he made it seem like it was the same thing, so I didn’t fuss — until I got to my burger and I didn’t even realize it was mine because it looked so small and sad (the burger). Since I didn’t fuss, I’ll be sure to clarify that I want a specific burger from the menu (word for word). The lady that handed the order was kind enough to ask if I would like a drink carrier for the drinks, which some places don’t seem to include with their service sometimes.
The overall atmosphere is the same as most of all the other McDonald’s locations. Since I went through the drive-through, there wasn’t much to notice. The lines to direct traffic to the menus need repainted, it was difficult to see at night (especially after it had previously rained). The mic/speaker box looks like it needs some TLC as well. At least the menu is digital, or else I doubt it would’ve been well kept. There’s trash around but it wasn’t too bad, just an average...
Read moreI went inside and ordered a medium hot caramel mocha and steak & hot cakes from the self service kiosk. The coffee was made by the manager in a "medium cup" which I feel is too small already especially at $2.69 and then I open it and its only half full and also not what I ordered. My mocha has whipped topping and caramel drizzle. So I ask the manager (with the lid open) this is your medium caramel mocha correct? She looks down at it and says "yes, yes it is" So i say well then what's a small 2 ounces? She just smiles and goes on about her day. So I just leave, I've had a long night already and i just want to move on with my day hoping it will be better. The coffee which was 4 whole drinks and tasted like espresso or closer to charcoal. So I open my meal and look at my steak, its half normal size and looks as if someone has taken 3-4 actual bites off it and threw it on my plate. Even more annoyed at this point I try over looking it and moving on to the hotcakes. I go to pull them apart to put butter on them and they are ice cold and stuck together, I believe they are frozen. At that point I was so mad I knew better then to go in there because I was afraid I would cause a scene and the cops would get called. I have worked fast food as an employee and a manager and you are expected to make orders at a quick rate so thugs get forgotten and mistakes are made. But come on people, this experience was just unexcusable. It truly was the worst meal I have ever had. I will not eat at this McDonald's...
