This was my first experience at this Subway location and wow, it was something else. My son (8) had asked specifically for Subway for our late lunch and there were many signs outside for a new "changes" ad campaign. So in we went.
First thing I noticed was the trash on the few tables in the suite. I assume they'd been busy and didn't think much of it. There were three teenagers (I believe) working, or more accurately, on the clock. One was standing at the register and the two others were kind of just standing around.
We stand there for a moment discussing the options for kids and decide on ham. We approached the counter and employee #1 walks towards us, makes eye contact, then turns away, walks past us, and goes into the back. Employee #2 and Cashier look at each other, appear to have a conversation with gestures and scoffs until #2 finally walks up to us and says, "What can I get you?"
I order a kid's ham and cheese for Son, to which #2 replies, " Yeah, we're out of ham, can't do it." This sparks a quick back and forth between #2 and cashier about who was supposed to stock the ham. #2 turns back to us, "Want turkey instead?" Son agrees, and #2 asks about cheese. I turn to Son, ask if American is OK and when I turn back, #1 has reappeared from the back and #2 has engaged with #1 about the lack of ham. I say "American cheese, please," but #2 doesn't hear me. So I repeat it louder, but she's (safe assumption given that Cashier has now referred to #2 as 'her') still talking to #1 about something that happened earlier, which prompts all three to start giggling. I repeat myself a third time, and still no response from #2. Cashier speaks up and says, "he wants American cheese," which finally prompts #2 to turn back to us, the customers. She asks if we want anything else on it, and then tells Cashier that's all. Then she looks at me and says, "unless you are getting something else?"
I order a BMT, but #2 says she can't do it, citing the...
Read moreHave had great experiences at this Subway, I frequent this location nearly weekly and have had a positive impression of work ethic, cleanliness, and general professionalism from all employees (have mostly been serviced by ‘newer’ and seemingly youthful staff). Today being an exception due to an agitated staff member that felt inclined to reassure another employee (after he’d apologized to me/took accountability for the mistake of a medium sized piece of meat being in spinach) that he didn’t need to feel ‘bad’ (which no one was making him feel, this was casually and simply pointed this out). Agitated staff member emphasizes that the meat being in the spinach “is not that big of a deal”. Upon my attempting to clarify that a vegetarian might mind the meat being there (for a prolonged period), this female staff member continued to attempt dismissing the error. I chose to politely decline the continued making of my sandwich, returned the chips to the shelf and chose to exit. I will no longer be a recurring customer due to these unfortunate events today. Thank you for the many lovely sandwiches you’ve...
Read moreI would have given it a zero star but obviously you have to put up a star in order to get a review on here. Me and my wife decided to order to Philly. I walked in my Philly cheesesteak was toasted. Which my sandwich was toast no problem my sandwich was good. My wife didn't want her Philly cheesesteak toasted. So they went ahead and prepare the sandwich with all the vegetables and through on Frozen cold steak and made the sandwich. I went back into the store to let him know that my wife wanted her stake heat it up like any of the Subway franchise does. The two young kids barely legal told me that that is how the steak is made because she didn't want it tosted. Obviously I asked them how long have they been working for this franchise anyone that orders a Philly cheesesteak the state is always heated before the customer your order. Things got heated and they decided to call the cops on me and told the cops I was trespassing. Long story short I had to leave with my cold Philly...
