Whiskey Bob's Saloon — Restaurant in Lafayette

Whiskey Bob’s Saloon is a nice dive bar off the main highway in Lafayette. The atmosphere is dark and dim throughout the day. There are different games to play like pool. Most of the bar takes up space for pool tables but there are still normally a free table or two open. The bar lends itself to beer, offering all the major macro brewers. The bartenders seem to want to help all patrons and are responsive to all request and make friendly conversations. They are a good at their jobs and are welcoming. The service is fast and you won’t need to wait on your beef for very long. They know how to make cocktails as well if that’s what you are looking to order. It has a cool vibe that you can spend all night hanging out. There is an outdoor patio which is nice in cooler nights. It isn’t too big and seems to be where a lot of people go to smoke. TVs are on to play sports and offer small entertainment.

Arrived on a Friday evening around 10pm. There were around 15-20 people (ages 25-60). The bar itself has a good sized counter top with seating for about 15 people. There is a vending machine with $1 cards (tabs) that you can actually win some money on. There are tables situated against the walls that go all the way around the inside. In the center are 3 nice pool tables. The juke box was playing and the volume and sound were nice. You cannot smoke inside, however they to have an outside patio with plenty of seating and ashtrays. Food was still being served as late as 1am and good. The bathroom was spacious and clean. Drinks were cold and inexpensive, 2 beers and a mix drink ran $11. Would definitely recommend and visit again. So I returned. This time before getting into the cold beers I started off with an App. The Chili N Chips I could eat every night. Free pool tables on Sunday and Mondays. Always friendly and knowledgable folks at the bar. Gotta stop in this place even if its just once. They have had some wedding parties...

Went there to shoot pool and have some drinks. Nobody was tending the billiards room so I went to the bar to order drinks (no problem). Bartender made my drink and the rum knocked down the fizz, then she poured my friend diet coke, she grabbed the straw to knock down the fizz by the top were you would drink out of to do this. Then served it with the same straw in it. I got my friend a new straw and wrote it off. Then the next bartender started his shift, thought we might get better service. He was too busy pin his phone to help us. Then some "regulars" came in and he hopped right up and came to the billiards area to serve them. Needless to say this effected his tip. Was waiting for him to come through the area again to confront him about this but he was too bust f'n around on his phone so I left.
