Not dog or customer friendly. I came in with five friends and my small dog looking for patio seating. After waiting 30 minutes we were told that we could sit inside even though we had a dog, so we were sat by the entrance. I was nervous bc i knew my dog might be a little overwhelmed so I sat him on my lap and covered him with my coat so he would sleep. I was asked by the host to put him on the food and drink covered floor. Which I tried for a while and it was ok, then my dog was scared by another dog entering, it barked. I placed him on my lap so he could calm down and took him out for a walk while we waited for our food. When I returned, my dog let out another bark. Dogs were barking on the patio, so it didn't seem to be a big deal. Until, a large man with a beard and braided hair comes over, as if we had spoken before, and harshly says "I let your dog bark once, but one more time and you have to leave" I was honestly shocked bc my dog isn't even a loud barker. My friends and I mostly met working at restaurants together so we are always trying to help ppl working. I apologize and explain we are waiting for our food and asked for an outside table. Our food arrives, dog barks again (responding to patio dogs barks) and the man rushes over and demands I leave now. I tell him I want to leave and I need to pay, as soon as I pay, I'll leave. Our waitress was so kind, I couldn't leave her high and dry bc her boss a bully. We pay our bill and my friend is finishing her drink when the man comes over and demands I leave again, despite my dog being silent. On our way out, my local friends expressed disappointment, the man said their owners were coming in, then that they only let "well behaved dogs in" , then that I was breaking health codes by having a dog inside, despite the fact that they sat us inside! Honestly that was awful, I couldn't help but think that something about us triggered this dude, he came at us with an intensity that felt like we had fought before. Despite having the best company at the meal, it was the worst dining experience, thanks to the lack of customer service and...
Read moreMaybe I've just caught these folks on bad days. Last vacation, a group of friends and, I went there. My friends were mainly interested in the craft beer. (Which they all liked) But, the food was mediocre, at best. This was a real disappointment because it looked so good on the website. It is a little pricey in the area so, you'd expect at least a little bit of love to be put into their food. Based on the reviews here, I went back on this year's vacation. My husband got a specialty burger, medium and, it came out cold on the inside. They took it back and, cooked it longer but, he wasn't impressed. I got the hummus with veggies, which were a step above what you'd expect from airport food. All of this, maybe you just expect in a tourist spot with a captive audience. What really ruined any fun to be had on a night out was the service. Our waitress looked as if she'd rather be anywhere else. Then, a staff member, who another patron later told me was the owner, barreled over to another diners table and, berated her, quite loudly. I have no idea what the issue between them was but, I've never seen such unprofessional behavior. All of the other tables around my husband and, me were looking at each other, like "What the heck?" This was not a fun...
Read moreWent up to arrowhead with some friends to stay at one of their homes and this is one of the stops we took before we got on the boat tour of arrowhead lake. First and foremost, if you haven't taken the time to get out of Los Angeles to come to this area then do it. Most of the homes here are owned by owners that like to rent them out. It is a very nice hour to two hour drive to escape the hustle and bustle of the city. The fresh air beats the smog and the night sky is beautiful.
This is a great spot that has seats outside so you can drink it the atmosphere and the view of the lake. Great beers on tap and a very nice selection of bottles and cans. Just about any drink is in their arsenal. They have large tv screens that have their entire drink menu to make it easy to make your selection. The lake tours run around every hour or so and this a great place to wet your whistle so that you can enjoy the tour a little more. The tour guides do their best to make their corny jokes family friendly but the jokes to start to lose their luster after a couple of repeats. Thus, making a stop here is almost necessary. Drink, sit back and enjoy all of Arrowhead...
