Worst food experience EVER!!!

Worst service hands down!!!

The only attentive ones were the bussers. Of it wasn't for the bussers we wouldn't have had anyone to help us.

Once our waiter took our order he was nowhere to be found. NO. WHERE.

Our party ordered the Chicken and Waffles, a side fries, Club sandwich with fries, hot cocoa, and a water no ice with lemon.

Hot cocoa was not hot. Better yet it was barely warm.

Water, no ice, with lemon was served with itty bitty slices with lots (I mean LOTS), of seeds sitting at the bottom of the glass.

Fries were disgusting and GROSS!!! Some were hard. Some were rubbery. Ultimately they were returned due to the pure nastiness and lack of flavor.

Club sandwich was the most delicious of anything that was served. Pretty hard to screw up a Club sandwich. The fries that came with this order were returned due to the reasons stated above. Cole Slaw was substituted in place of the awful fries. The Cole Slaw was delicious.

Chicken and Waffles were blah. The chicken was greasy, lacked flavor, and warmth. The waffles were undercooked. They were doughy in the center. This would've been sent back but after a 90 minute drive, I did not want to wait any longer for lackluster room temperature food.

One party of our group asked for a glass of water and the waiter proceeds to ask us if we were going to share the glass that was already at the table or if we wanted to add a glass of water to our table?

What kind of queation is that?

How many groups share one glass of water with the rest of their table?

Our group comes to this restaurant at least 3 times a year when we visit Lake Arrowhead. Ever since the new owners/managers took over this place has gone downhill faster than an Olympic Skiier trying to out ski an avalanche.

One more chance will be given and if the food and service has not improved it will be time to change our traditional...

While on vacation we kept hearing from the locals that we needed to try Belgian Waffle Works, so we made the quick trip to Lake Arrowhead and found the little breakfast spot. The location was beautiful as you can sit just feet away from the water and soak in the wonderful scenery. The restaurant itself hasn't been updated in quite awhile and has an old, small town diner feel, however, the menu options are quite the opposite and boast of exciting culinary creations. As your read the menu your mouth begins to water as you can almost taste the deliciousness just by reading the entree descriptions. Being there with my family, we ordered our meals and eagerly awaited the arrival of our delicacies. Let me tell you, we were blown away by what was placed in front of us, not necessarily because of the appearance, but because of the way the flavors danced across your tastebuds. It was magical. The waffles were delicate, but also provided a punch of flavor. My daughter ordered the masterpiece known as the Boston Cream Belgian and and reveled at the beauty that rested in front of her. I ordered the Brussels Belgian, which is their take on a Monte Cristo, and I could not believe how delicious each bite was with all the different elements incorporated. Needless to say, the locals were right, this place is a "Must Visit". If they could just update the interior design a bit and improve on their service this place would be a Home Run. Was very excited to have breakfast here , I checked multiple sites to make sure they were pet friendly and on all sites it said yes!! Imagine my surprise when I show up with my 1.5 pound pomeranian puppy which by the way was in a sling carrier after we waited and were seated outside on the patio and had placed our drink order was told that pets weren't allowed!! So I asked to speak with the manager (unfortunately did not get her name) I explained that I had researched it and that pets were allowed, she basically called me a liar and said that wasnt true when I offered to show her she became more rude !! Saying well we changed our policy due to dirty dogs and flea infestation!! Perhaps my next complaint should be with the health department!! So I left along with my party of 5 and as we walked away we noticed another small dog on the outdoor patio barking and jumping!! So I went back to speak with the manager once again ( absolutely pointless) I explained the other dog she immediately said its a service dog!! Well anyone with a brain would know otherwise!! So I said well then mine is a service dog!! She said no it isn't!! So if I could deter anyone with pets away from here I hope to do so!! The staff is rude, unprofessional and absolutely should not be in customer service!! It wasn't the fact that my puppy was not allowed..I get that !! It was the way it was handled by the staff!! They deserve less...
