I came to Salata a few days prior to today and there was an older lady and a younger lady with a child in front of me. The worker who I presume is the manager, served them and the younger lady and the child were both without a mask (the older lady however did have a mask on and so did I). Not once was this customer asked to put on a mask nor refused service.
So today, I came to be served and didn't have a mask but was refused service. I loathe when businesses do not follow their own rules, are inconsistent, and confuse customers. I thought that because a few days prior when that lady and her child were serviced throughout the entire line without wearing a mask that their rules were relaxed but today that was not the case.
Anyway, I end up leaving after being let down by their inability to come to a favorable resolution in a timely manner and went on to purchase a salad from a competitor which was an utter disappointment considering how Salata is highly preferred over their competitor even despite their competitors prices being cheaper. :(
So Salata, please keep and be consistent to your own rules if you expect customers to follow them, do NOT discriminate in who you will tell to wear a mask and who you will not tell to wear a mask, please be fair to all customers.
Also Salata, please teach all of your employees customer conflict resolution skills. Why must your business risk losing money because you have failed to equip all of your staff on the simplistic and invaluable art/skill of uniquely resolving issues to minimize/eliminate profit loss and ensure continued customer satisfaction?
There are 4-types of customers that exist: 1.The Cheap (they want the most for the least/complain about prices) 2.The Difficult (they are often indecisive/hard to please/ask too many questions/hold up the line/inconsiderate of other customers waiting) 3.The Sophisticated (they know exactly what they want/decisive/they don't debate about the price of things because they've likely done their research about that in advance/they typically become regular customers) The Affluent (they want the best no matter how much it costs)
In today's experience, your business allowed a regular "Sophisticated" customer to patronize one of your competitors because of your failure to keep to your own rules and your inability to effectively resolve this conflict; that's very unfortunately. Anyway, I hope that you all improve on this in the near...
Read moreI have gone here at least 4 times now within the last month and a half and can say that Salata is amazing! I am hooked. The amount of salad toppings to choose from does not leave much to be desired and has everything I need to have my perfect salad lunch. All of their ingredients have this quality to them that is tasted in every bite. I used to favor subw for its “healthy” attributes but this takes the cake for taste and abundance factor!
Here’s my problems: I have gone here at least 4 times and 2 of these visits I did in fact find similar hair in my food. My friend also went another day and found the same thing. I don’t really know what that’s about but that’s not really a topping you’d expect to find on your salad.
The salad can come out to be a bit pricey, but it does “even” out with their rewards program. However, this rewards program has a very sorry user interface that makes it hard to know how many points I have and what they can do for me. I think this is more of a corporate issue than a location issue however!
There are 2 other salad bars on the same street just a few minutes down from this location. I have not tried them but do plan on it!
Things I appreciate: The staff is somewhat bilingual, and despite communication sometimes being iffy they always make the process feel fast, fun, and streamlined.
Their food quality is chefs kiss (except for those hairy parts I mentioned earlier)
The reward program, while a bit hard to understand due to the lackluster user interface, is solid and really does make me want to come back just to use some of my points to pay off my next salad!!
Edit: customer service were very quick to reach out to me and make up for my issues !...
Read moreI live in Texas and have been eating Salata for years. I’ve always had great experiences there but visiting this location while in town visiting family, not so much. I ordered a regular salad which is basically a large and the lady behind me ordered a small. The worker filled my entire container to the top with romaine and when starting to put the toppings she literally grabbed the littlest amount. She gave me 4 cucumbers, I kindly asked for extra, she grabs 3 more. I asked for more while stating I don’t mind paying for extra and she grabbed 3 more. Lol. If you’ve ever been to this location you’ll know their cucumbers are sliced paper thin so yeah. This went on throughout the entire ingredient process. Now I’m noticing the customer behind me getting the same amount that she was giving me with a much smaller salad. So I take it that maybe that’s their protocol here at this location. I was just confused as the why all the other locations I’ve been to didn’t have this protocol. When getting to the protein I chose the herb marinated shrimp. The worker grabbed 4 shrimp. I paid $4 for 4 shrimp. But instead of just walking out at that point I asked for Salmon also which was of course an up charge for double protein. All in all I paid $21 for a salad that barely had any ingredients but LOT of romaine. I should’ve just gotten a small and saved money, maybe it would’ve been a better experience for me, but this location is...
