Boomtown Saloon Country Bar — Restaurant in Lake Delton

Excellent customer service! We stopped in while on vacation for appetizers and drinks with an 11yo & 3yo and we're pleasantly surprised they had a bucket of crayons and activity sheets to occupy their time. Our bartender/server, Joe, was friendly and efficient and was very knowledgeable on the deliciously curated drink menu. They offer a full menu of Southern flair inspired dishes and we ordered the Half Naked Curds and Chipotle Crusted Steak Nachos and although the nacho platter seemed to have less steak and altogether smaller portion size than the one pictured on the menu, our family of four had only stopped for a snack before going to another establishment for a larger family dinner and we were more than satisfied with our overall experience and quality of the food; the steak was delicious and cooked to perfection. I ordered the Lovesick Blues (Tullamore D.E.W, Fernet Branca, housemade strawberry shrub syrup, lemon) from the expansive and custom crafted drink menus, which I highly recommend, and the family all had sodas; the 11yo enjoyed the frosted glass for his Sprecher root beer. At 3:30p on a Wednesday afternoon it was a very family friendly atmosphere, but I can see how this place could get a bit loud in the evenings as it is a full bar with tables and a smaller dining section of four additional booths and a pool table where we sat. Additional outdoor seating is available with picnic tables and umbrellas. Contemporary and classic country music was being played over the sound system at an appropriate volume for the time of day and amount of guests in the building and they offer live entertainment as well. Boobtown Saloon is now a family favorite and we look forward to returning while on vacation again next year to try the Nashville Hot Chicken and Boombtown...

we went there as a group of four. old female bartender wanted us to show our id’s but didn’t accept one of our form of identification card even if it has the dob on it (only one of us was drinking alcohol and she already showed her id when she bought that) she wanted us to leave in the rudest way. she yelled at us when we were really calm (we couldn’t even understand what was happening) i wish we could record that moment but when we sat there a little more time to search the rules she came and threw out all of our drinks to the garbage and yelled at us again. she was so angry for no reason at all. they didn’t even make a refund. the worst place i’ve ever been in my life. worst service. worst employee. she was so RACIST and DISRESPECTFUL. Been to Wisconsin Dells numerous times. But we've always frequented the more well-known establishments for meals. This time we just felt like doing something different....and we are sooooo glad we did. Boomtown is DEFINITELY different....in a GREAT way. When we walked in, my wife and I weren't really sure this was a good choice, but we decided to stick it out...and boy was it worth it. I had a burger topped with brisket. My original intent was to just remove the brisket and eat it separately. But I took one bite and realized that I was holding one of the best burgers I'd ever had. It was simply superb! My wife practically swallowed her fish tacos. It may not look like much....but it may be one of the best places to eat...
