Sun Mountain Spa — Local services in Lake Delton

My wife and I are celebrating our 5th year anniversary and God is so faithful in answering prayer. Heather and Amber cannot be more highly recommended. I wanted to schedule a couples massage in the Wisconsin Dells area. Not being a local I wasn’t sure where to go and there were many choices. So I said a simple prayer asking God for His help. I came across Sun Mountain Spa and called. From the initial phone call I knew I was in good hands. I had a small window to fit in a couples spa treatment between our golf tee time in the morning and dinner in the evening. They didn’t have an opening for a couples massage but could do back to back. I let them know how much it meant to me that we could have massages at the same time. The woman on the phone said we’ll get creative and make it happen. She suggested three different services facial, foot treatment and massage. This way the esthetician could do the facial and foot treatment while the massage therapist could do the massage and the foot treatment and then switch. I am not exaggerating when I say this, but it was the most incredible, relaxing, refreshing and physically healing time I have ever had. Be very careful with this spa, a week ago I paid for a full service which they did not finish giving me and they told me to come back in the afternoon because the masseur did not show up, now they call me the same day to tell me that they will not give me my service and that they will give me the following week for the service that was missing, they promised me for the wait a sauna bath and that would be all. Two days later they sent me a message saying that they would refund my money and that I would have to pay again to receive my massage (the one that was already paid for and was already scheduled) now that they canceled my appointment I no longer scheduled anything or contact them to separate any appointment or do something. This morning I check my mailbox and see that they debited a different amount from my card since I did not authorize any service and I did not request it either, if they already refunded my money it is because I have to reschedule and pay for the service so that's why I didn't call. My husband and I got couples massages here and they were glorious!! They advised us to arrive at least 30 mins early so we could sit in the massage chairs, which we did. Let me tell you, those massage chairs were everything. Usually it takes me at least 20-30 mins of a massage to actually start relaxing, and these chairs did that for me, so I was able to enjoy the full 60 minute massage! We sat in them for at least 20-30 mins and felt completely loosened up and ready for our massage techs. Both the women who treated us were incredible, and my husband whom has never had a massage and was actually nervous, turned to me after they were done and just said “oh my gosh. We’re doing this at least once a month.” Lol! I’m in. We will definitely return! The only thing I will say, is maybe put some room darkening curtains in the relaxing room, only because we felt a little exposed in our robes next to the big open patio, some darkening curtains and mood lighting could take that room to the next level.
