We've stayed here before without incident. In fact, previous times we were there were always very good.
We were disappointed this time.
We paid for a "suite", on purpose, so we'd have a separate area to relax at night and watch a little TV. The first issue was that the TV in the living room area was defective. Half the channels didn't work. The Netflix option didn't work. I called the front desk and they didn't really know how to handle it. Clearly the TV wasn't hooked up properly. The TV in the bedroom area did work so we spent three uncomfortable nights sitting on the bed to be able to "relax" (which wasn't relaxing at all for me given my knee problems). I paid for a suite but didn't get to use what I paid extra for.
After our second night (we were there for three nights) they didn't clean the room. We are usually up early, get ready to go and leave for the day. When we came back at roughly 5:00 pm the bed was still not made.
My wife went to the front desk to report this. They sent up a very nice young man who had new bedding (we didn't need to completely redo the bed). He said the front desk person said we had a "do not disturb" sign on our door. We did not. We travel a lot and have never used one of them.
We noticed that the cleaning person had in fact come into our room, gave us new towels, emptied the bathroom trash (but not the one by the bedroom TV which was full). So apparently they came into a "do not disturb" room to do that but not make the bed.
I know, first world problems. But we are paying customers and didn't get what we paid for. Given our past positive experiences this was hopefully a one time thing. I'm guessing the room cleaning was some sort of confusion on their part, or a forgetful cleaning person. They DO need to fix that TV, though, because people are paying for that space and are not getting what they're paying for. That was my biggest...
Read moreGirls weekend. Checked in Friday 11/2/18 and checked out Sunday 11/4/18. During our 2 night stay were were switched to 3 different rooms. First night we noticed something massive on the fire alarm. Almost looked like a camera. I went down and talked to the lady at the front desk and she stated that she didn't know what it was, but she wasn't sure if it was a camera or not. She then gave us another room. The second day we asked for no room service and just wanted towels. We received them and went out for the day. Came back around 5:30pm and our room door was open. The lock was also broken and we weren't able to close the door. The lady even camp up to look at it. Very concerned as our belongings were in the room and moved around. The room wasn't cleaned nor were the beds made up so they didn't come to clean. Again we said no room service so why was our room open and exposed. Myself along with everyone else was very upset. The front desk lady apologized, but didn't know why someone would have went in our room. We then had to be moved into a new room because the lock was broken. Very inconvenient both nights. I was told that the manager would be calling us, but we still haven't heard a word from this hotel. The hotel was nice, but very upsetting that our weekend of experiences that we didn't want or expect. No one offered anything. Even though she apologized its almost like no one cared. I will be contacting corporate as we should've heard something from...
Read moreMy wife and I stayed here two nights in February 2019 in connection with a wedding that was being held nearby. The staff was excellent and the property is relatively new. Our room was nice although my wife likes taking a bath and our room had a very nice shower but no tub. The closet was small. The complimentary breakfast was one of the better ones we've had other than the chef-attended ones at places like Embassy Suites. The health club was small but did have an adequate selection of good cardio equipment although the strength training equipment was limited to dumbbells and a bench. The indoor pool (there is no outdoor pool) bears mention only because it is by far the smallest indoor pool I've seen in my life. They really should have just had a hot tub and used the very small additional space they'd save on a sauna or steam room. It's nice but it really is tiny. If you envision an indoor pool where you or your kids can have some fun - cancel that thought! All in all though - a very nice hotel. Side note - there is a Marriott SpringHill Suites adjacent to this hotel that actually shares the parking lot. I believe this is a bit more money but I did glance in there and it has a regular full size indoor pool so if that's important to you -...
