My sister was treating me for my birthday. I suggested Schgrue’s after 4 years of living here in Lake Havasu. Looking forward to a nice celebration dinner over looking the channel and bridge. Sister called in reservations for 2 and said it was a birthday celebration (flag #1). Cool! We get dressed up and arrived at Schgrue’s. Went inside, sister gave her name for 2 and told front desk girl we were here for my “sister’s” birthday dinner (flag #2). Here’s where it starts……. We follow the girl with our menu’s not to the well lit, look over the channel and bridge, but to this darkly lit room and proceeds to (try) seat us in this under lit small booth fit more for a first date, or CEO hide away booth not two sister’s celebrating a birthday. It was bad. We both asked if we could sit at one of the 2 tables next to the windows. She says she can’t seat us there but she has this table that was certainly much better than the lover’s hideaway corner. We get seated, our waitress comes over, asks our names, and sister tells her we are here for my birthday celebration (flag #3). She takes our drink order. We look at the menu…..Caesar salad, blacken tuna sounds good. She comes back to take our full order. Shrimp and scallops with loaded potato for me. Sister asked how the prime rib looked, med or rare. Medium would have some pink. Ordered. Then she brought bread. They brought my salad and the blacken tuna. About 5 minutes into our eating, the waitress comes up, apologizes and says the table we are sitting at is “reserved” for another dinner party we need to move. Move where? Not in that other dark lit room? My sister says what about those 2 open tables by the window? The waitress hesitated hm’d/hawed then says “fine” we’ll move you there. We get moved and our entree food is then brought to the table. I have no complaint about my food. My sister’s prime rib had no pink. Definitely more over medium. My salad & the blacken tuna were still being eaten from. The waiters kept trying to clear our table quickly. 3 times. As I said our meal was not the issue. Who comes and kicks you off your dining table?? So the table that was reserved remained empty while we ate our dinner. We get doggy boxes and then the waitress proceeds to ask us if we want desert. After 3 flags of “Its my birthday” I shook my head, rolled my eyes and knew I would never eat at Schgrue’s again OR recommend them. THEN, the waitress brings us the wrong bill for much less. We could have paid the bill but we brought it to her attention while she was carrying a baby around the dining floor for her to fix. Then the reserved table people showed up. The waitress was trying to push us through the process and get us out of there as soon as they could. I will...
Read moreI came in from Nevada on my birthday for dinner, I did get a window which was nice. Our waiter came over and asked if we would like something I said I would like something sweet he said hmm then I guess you would not like wine I said no. What do you suggest he said I'm not sure so I ended up asking for a rasberry daiquiri which was very watery. Bread and butter was to be with the dinner but he asked if we wanted any when he took our order for our meal, 20 minutes later here came the bread with appetizers and the salad, bread should have been given right away like he did the other tables by the were regulars.. Our meal came he never asked how it was, I had to call him over for another drink, I also had to ask him to clear the table of dirty dishes. He did not ask if we wanted dessert. I asked him for the check and when he brought it over he had the gall to ask if I minded if he waited for me to give him my credit card. Thank goodness I am a grown woman and he is lucky I do throw something at him, you never ever ask the consumer a question like that ever. Especially a tourist cause we always tip best, lucky he got anything at all, the only reason he did was because I use to work in the industry. His name started with a B he has Blonde hair and it was Sept 2nd the reservation was for 7pm but we got there a little early. I was also the one that didn't want a bunch of waitresses coming over and singing...
Read moreMy son and I went here on a Saturday evening on 9/16/2017 for a enjoyable meal. We were served by server named Marrena she was not real friendly from the start only in a hurry to get our order. I mentioned to her I wish they had put scallops on the some of the entrees She laughed and said I'm sorry. I decided on the filet with a baked potato and asked for extra butter. The meal was served the potato had so much butter on it I to scoop it on to the plate used for the bread it was heeped onto this plate I had move my filet onto my son's bread plate so my steak was not sitting in a pool of butter. I asked who put all this butter on my potato her reply was "not I did you enjoy the rest of your potato." She was never concerned about us at all she just wanted to deliver the food and get away. We were eventually were asked if we wanted desert we said no and waited for our check. We 10- 15 minutes no check, we finally got up and walked out on the way we met the manager, We told him we had not received our check. He asked who our server was we said we didn't know and he proceeded to describe her he got right the first time. We told him our story and he said he was sorry and gave us 10% off our bill, which something. We will not return. We should have gone The Montana Steak House they have great food, great friendly service all they don't have is a view of the London bridge but you can go their after a...
