Read moreRecommend by a local when I asked about "the best steakhouse in the immediate area". They have a VERY good happy hour selection of food and drinks. Their dinner menu is impressive, as well. I ordered from both!! I had Seared Ahi and Baby Filet Mignon from the happy hour menu. IT WAS EXCELLENT!! The patron next to me had the HH Creole Shrimp. It looked delicious and was told that it was indeed! Apparently, it's a popular favorite! I enjoyed a margarita 🍹 on the rocks while savoring my "appetizers", a full meal in itself. But, I specifically had a steak in mind for dinner. I ordered a Porterhouse Steak from the dinner menu. It turned out to be one of the best I've had in a long while. Expertly prepared. Good job, guys!! Oh, and another margarita!! Finish off with Creme Brulee for dessert. It was Thursday at about 4:30pm. The venue was pretty full. As a single diner, I generally eat at the bar. I snagged the last remaining seat on the front end. The bartender, Christina, was awesome!! Even under the pressure of a testy individual harassing her about a lost credit card, which he later discovered in his own pocket. The manager was professional and helpful and understood the scope of ADA regulations regarding Service Dogs. Impressively asked the only two questions allowed. I thanked her for her knowledge. Finally, I relished my high-end menu choices all perfectly prepared and presented. My check was just over $110, all incurred by my extravagance. Bottom line, I have to agree with the local that recommended the venue. It's DEFINITELY the...
Read moreNew to Havasu, so far my least favorite restaurant of them all. We ate there on 11/1. Ordered the "hotel california" cocktail and it was overwhelmingly sweet. Like sprite with added sugar. Didn't take more than two sips each before ordering a different drink, but unfortunately the waitress did not offer to take them off the check. Half of the menu is tapas which we ordered to get a sense of the food in town with this reported to be "the best" restaurant. Here is our breakdown: Eggplant dip - served when we sat down, this was the best thing we had all night. Tasted exactly like hummus which we love. Hummus - had absolutely no flavor of any kind, as far as I could tell it was just plain ground up chickpeas but I couldn't taste them either. Usually served with pita but they were out this evening and we were offered vegetables. This was understandable and totally fine by us except that the vegetables were uncooked zucchini and squash - who would eat that? Mussels - these were good and we enjoyed them Beef satay - these were also pretty good Chicken lettuce wraps - don't even know where to start. This could be the worst asian-inspired food item I've ever consumed. It literally reminded me of when I tried to make asian inspired food in my college dorm room. Nothing more than soy sauce and chicken. This dish alone is what compelled me to leave this review (and I don't often...
