Tropical Smoothie Cafe — Restaurant in Lake Havasu City

2.5 stars for food. Maybe 3 for service. We got two veggie hummus wraps, which were good tasting, 4 star worthy for taste alone. But wilted lettuce, very little black beans (maybe a couple tablespoons?), very little hummus, a small amount of smashed avocados, very little rice that was maybe just cooked enough, balsamic vinegarette pickled red onions and I asked for my wife's to be without tomatoes which there were two half slices of on it. No where on the menu, online or in person, does it state that the red onions are pickled in a balsamic vinegarette. We should have asked, but at the same time, it would better if it was disclosed on the menu. My wife has food allergies, none of which include the typical dairy, shellfish or wheat! We got two orders of the chicken cheese quesadilla. There was ONE type of cheese and it should have three. Very bad aftertaste. Terrible.

Styrofoam cups (personal preference - we prefer recyclable plastic ones)

The flavors of two of the three smoothies were a little bit underwhelming.

One of the smoothies tasted as if it had artificial chocolate.

We understand they are a very new business in town and may still be working out some kinks. We plan on trying them again...

A friend treated me to my first smoothie about a year ago - since then I've had at least 20 more Island Green smoothies! They are always delicious and I can use one for a complete lunch, but now I know you can order the food along with the smoothie, and it's a little cheaper. The cup the smoothie comes in is big and it's always completely full and it's always consistently good! It's clean, the staff is friendly and I just love having a place with healthy food where I can drive up to the window and take it home and really enjoy it.. I feel as though I'm doing something good for myself when I have lunch at the Tropical Cafe. It's a little tricky to see on Mesquite , but it's well worth finding it! Came here for a sweet smoothie as a dessert after dinner. The place was not busy at all; I was the only customer there. The staff was friendly and ready to take my order, which I ordered a Mocha Madness. I've had Tropical Smoothie elsewhere, so my smoothie was up-to-par. The staff was quick to make it and bring out my smoothie to where sat at their counter seating. There's regular seating and a patio outside. The drive-thru did get a customer while I was there.
