Update: 7/6/23 The GM reached out to me and took the time to address my concerns. After giving me a chance to explain my experience she asked me to give them another shot and I’ve decided to do so when I am able to! Customer service 10/10! Thanks Alisha!
6/29/23 My family and I regularly enjoyed dining in at Beef’o’Brady’s in Pearland several years ago (before they closed that location). Years later and several moves away from the south Houston/Pearland area my mom and I decided to make the 1 hour 20 minute drive from where I currently live to the Lake Jackson location. (Literally ONLY FOR THE FOOD BECAUSE WE LOVED THE PEARLAND LOCATION SO MUCH. I even had my high school graduation party there) Anyway, when walking into the restaurant we were greeted by a sweet hostess who seated us quickly. We immediately noticed a sewage smell that seemed to linger. The smell made dining in unpleasant for my mother who has a sensitive stomach. Our server gave us a few minutes before asking for our drink order. She was sweet but not very attentive. I appreciated her allowing the kids chicken strips to be grilled over battered and fried. (Diet restrictions for medical purposes) my mom had the fish and chips. She was disappointed. The fish was okay, had a good crunch. The fries were not good. We aren’t sure if the oil was bad or the fries were just bad potatoes but it was not good. My grilled chicken tasted okay. I left most of the chicken, and all of the broccoli behind. My mom left 1 of the 3 battered fish and all of the fries. (We are left over people and didn’t want to take any of it home) After returning home we both didn’t feel great and had stomach aches.
Overall, we were quiet underwhelmed and felt disappointed that we had driven SO far to have a little taste of the past and it just didn’t measure up. Due to distance and this experience we will probably not being returning. I did read a lot of reviews for this location upon getting home and see many people haven’t had this experience. So, perhaps it was a bad day for...
Read moreFirst time eating here the food was hot and delicious! After being seated by a friendly hostess, we looked over the menu and decided what to eat while we waited for our waitress. When she came to take our order she wasn't very talkative and we ordered two drinks from the bar and an appetizer, she was very rude about it when we asked what drinks were good and after I handed her my license to check, she threw it back down on the table at me instead of handing it back. We received drinks that didn't seem like it was what we ordered but they were good so we enjoyed them anyways. We ordered our entrees and waited while we enjoyed the nice atmosphere. When we received our meals they were hot and looked delicious except that my husbands food was not what he ordered, we tried many times to get our waitresses attention (there was only one other table in the restaurant with people) and we couldn't find her so we just ate the food. We waited about 10 minutes after finishing our food before we saw her again to get the check and to go box, after she went to get that we waited another 15 minutes for the check and box. Finally got the check to see she hadn't rang up the correct drinks at all and the food my husband ordered was rang up wrong. After she brought us the check we still waited for a to go box for at least another 10 minutes. When she finally brought the box she just threw it down walked off. Usually we Tip well at restaurants because I have worked in restaurants for 6 years, but this was the first time that I have never tipped due to how we were treated by our server. I understand that people have bad days, but if you're going to be rude and not even pay attention to the customers when taking their order you might want to find another job. Will be returning to this restaurant again in hopes that it was just one...
Read moreIf your name is "Beef O'Grady" you would think that for the Superbowl you would stock up on steaks and such. Nope! Even before the game started there were no ribeye, no top sirloin, nothing. So we settled in to watch the game, but wait, the temp inside was 80 freaking degrees. Three times we begged them to do something about the temp. But wait, the say the manager has misplaced the key that controls the magic box that controls the temp in the restaurant. To top it all off the drinks we were ordering were coming half full. Twice we had to ask the waitress to fix it, only to hear, we're sorry, but the bartender must be slammed. Huh? A bartender that ruins your drinks because they're slammed is no bartender at all. Needless to say, we'll never be back to Beef O'Grady's. Maybe we'll find another place with the word "beef" in their name, and they'll actually have something other that...
