Never been to a Jack's before. Now that they're invading the midwest, thought I should stop in and try it. Wanted to get a nice little variety to get a good idea overall, so I got a Jr. bacon cheeseburger, a value curly fry, 5 mini tacos and a 3 piece chicken strip. Came out to about $14.
The burger tastes kinda like Wendy's, so take that as you will re: your opinion on Wendy's. It looks like they have different kinds of patties for the full-size burgers, they may be seasoned differently? Further investigation required.
Curly fries were decently seaaoned. Not quite as zesty as Arby's, but I've definitely had worse.
The mini tacos are a freaking revelation. Perfect on-the-go food, bite-sized for that taco flavor with no mess. I didn't dip mine, so your mileage may vary if you try to drive while eating them and maneuvering them with dipping sauce, but plain? These would be my go-to drivethru order.
The chicken strips were fine. Generously sized, very crispy breading if not the most flavorful, meat was decently moist with no weird gristly bits.
Place was clean with ample seating, staff were running like clockwork, no wait at all. Though for a brand newly opened place, it's odd how much stuff was out of order. One of the drink flavors was marked out of order, and 2 out of 3 of the touchscreen order kiosks were down.
Speaking of which, the menus on the kiosk are kind of vague and confusing. I was looking at the menu on the website before, and it tells you everything that's on an item, and you can mark everything individually to leave off, a list of all the extras below that you can add, etc. Very indepth.
The kiosk, like-...for the burger, for example? There were only 3 checkbox options: Well Done, Cut In Half, and Plain. And Plain doesn't specify what it takes off. I selected it, half fearing they were going to omit the cheese and bacon as well as the various sauces and veggies, but they didn't.
I also selected Plain for the mini tacos, though in the picture those only have meat in them anyway? So not really sure what was different there. But yeah, if you require a lot of substitutions/ommissions/additions from how things come standard, order ahead on the website for sure.
Bathrooms are keypad-locked, which automatically loses you a star. I was gonna poke my head in to comment on the condition of the restrooms, but I didn't really have to go and couldn't be assed to bug an employee for the code.
Room for improvement, but good overall. Will be back to try...
Read moreThis is my 3rd time here and Last!!! Best thing I can say is the Sourdough Jack was better than the 2 previous burgers I tried, but almost $14 for a burger Combo that honestly was pretty thin!!!! Can do much better than this at plenty of places. What's with your Air Conditioning here? Seemed like you wanted to kick me out of there. Ridiculously Cold, everywhere I sat the Vent was blowing on me. Turn it down! I have to agree here with a No. of people. I don't see how this place is going to survive here. There's way too many better choices around here for food. I wouldn't be surprised if this place is gone within the year. Maybe back in the 70's when you were here, you were the Big Kahuna but there's just so many other choices for food around here and people will figure that out soon. There's still a Ton of reviews complaining about you not being open 24 hours as you originally advertised. If you can't get that straight by now then there's not much hope for this place. 11-2-2025--Also, a big sign is needed on East Side of building as that is where the cars from the driveup Exit. There is a door on that side where customers that are inside also Exit. A no. of cars pass there going too fast. Obviously Jack in the Box needs a Go Slow, watch out for Customers sign to properly educate people to go slow. There's an Accident waiting to happen if this is...
Read moreWe came in on October the 3rd arpund 4:10 to order food. We ordered a few different things, excited to try Jack in The Box after hearing so many good things about it. We placed our order, stepping to the side to wait for it to come out. After about 25 minutes, we figured that even though it was busy, we had waited long enough, as we had only ordered like 7 things. We went up and got the attention of an employee, who said he 'didn't know what happened to the order' and just disappeared. We didn't hear anything about it, and let another 20 minutes pass as we figured they were working on it. Still, in this time, nobody came out to say anything to us or even apologize. I grabbed a manager, who wandered off to check on it. She came back and said it was almost done, amd they were waiting on our tenders. She just shrugged and gave us an indifferent 'sorry' Finally, after being in the restaurant for OVER AN HOUR we were given our food. No sorry. No making this right. I regret convincing my brother to try this place, as a simple dinner, turned into an hour of standing around and twiddling our thumbs, with barely even a sorry. Maybe skip this place until they're a bit more settled...because it's obvious they don't have the time to care right now. 2 stars is for the food though, pretty good just NOT worth...
