Bombay Wraps is honestly a gem. I’ve tried so many Indian places in Chicago and trust me this one stands out big time. First thing that hit me when I walked in was how CLEAN it is. Like seriously the cleanest Indian spot I’ve seen here. Floors, counters, tables everything looked perfect and fresh. You can tell they actually care about hygiene which is rare and honestly makes such a big difference. I ordered the samosa wrap and the messy samosa and wow… both were absolutely amazing. The flavors were spot on – reminded me of street food back home but in a neat, modern way. Everything tasted fresh and packed with flavor, not greasy at all. It’s the kind of food that fills you up but doesn’t make you feel heavy. I wanted to try the chicken too but it’s not halal which is the only thing I wish they had because then it would be perfect. But even without it the vegetarian options are so good you won’t feel like you’re missing anything. If you’re in Chicago and craving real Indian flavors this is a must-try spot. No joke. Quick service, super clean, tasty food – honestly I felt wow after eating here. Definitely...
Read moreI ate in here for the first time about few months ago. I super love the food that I ate in here. If I remember it right, I got the chicken tikka rice bowl which has a nice portion with fresh veggies, perfectly cooked rice and of course the chicken which is tender and full of flavor. I love their chicken tikka rice bowl because it has a really great flavor, I know that Indian food has a lot of seasoning and spices and I definitely love it. I also love their samosas. I ate samosas before and this is definitely the best that I had. I also like it better with its dip and it gives extra flavor and goodness to the samosas. I am planning to be back in her soon if I have time. Their food is great and also, they have different and other good Indian food options. The place is clean and the atmosphere and vibe is cool and cozy. Their staff is nice and friendly who kindly recommended me their chicken tikka which I am grateful for until now. Prices are fair too. Highly...
Read moreWe had high hopes when we visited Bombay Eats after a long and tiring day, craving something comforting and authentically Indian. Unfortunately, the food was bland, tasteless, and completely lacked flavor — it didn’t feel like Indian food at all.
I noticed a mention of Bhagwan Das Maja Firki, which made me think the owner might be from Surat, Gujarat — a city that’s world-famous for its vibrant and flavorful cuisine (“Surat nu Jaman”). That made the experience even more disappointing.
To the owner: I understand that your business has survived in a competitive place like Chicago, and that’s no small thing. But honestly, this was one of the most flavorless meals I’ve ever had. Our entire group was left frustrated and unsatisfied, wondering why we even came here.
Food should leave you smiling — especially when you’re craving a taste of home. Sadly, this missed the...
