Overall Thoughts: I love this chain; their sandwiches are so delicious and some of the best subs I’ve ever had. The ingredients are fresh and the bread is soft and top-tier. The value is incredible with massive, filling portions for a very reasonable price. The menu is packed with creative options for both vegetarians and meat eaters alike. I’ve also gotten food from their Wicker Park location on the TooGoodToGo app, which has always been solid! The staff at both locations are friendly, and though I’ve never sat and dined at either location before, the interiors have a good amount of seating and chill vibes.
Food I tried: Magic Mushroom (Teriyaki Shrooms) with Wheat Bread (4.6/5): This sandwich was delicious! It paired well with the wheat bread, which was denser but soft and moist, especially when soaking up the teriyaki sauce. It was packed generously with veggies, which gave it diverse textures, and the teriyaki sauce added a sweet, umami flavor.
The Kind (Turkey, Bacon, Shrooms) with Garlic Bread (4.5/5): This sandwich tasted really good too; the house dressing tasted light and delicious. The bread is soft and the light turkey flavors paired well with the bacon and other lighter veggie flavors.
Chocolate Krispy Bar (4.2/5): This came in one of my TooGoodtoGo bags; it was good— very crispy and gooey, but wouldn’t necessarily go out of my way to order it.
Mystery TooGoodtoGo Sandwiches (4.5/5): All the mystery sandwiches I’ve gotten from here on the TooGoodtoGo app have been delicious, leading me to conclude that you can’t really go wrong with any sandwich from here— they will all hit! —

Read moreI typically LOVE Cheba Hut and have frequented it since college however this particular location is not worth a visit. At this point I would rather go to the Wicker Park location. I used to often go to the Wrigleyville location and had the bartender Eddie who was amazing and provided excellent banter and service. The last 5 times I’ve not seen him and it has been one manager and a few cooks. There’s never a bartender and the manager refuses to make any drinks. As a shift manager at a restaurant myself- you should know the menu and how to make the drinks you advertise as available. The last time I went I sat at the bar for 25 minutes and was never greeted or even acknowledged even though I know the cooks and manager saw me sitting there. The shift manager also refuses to learn or make any of the drinks advertised. I would love to return and be able to give this location a...
Read moreTerrific sandwiches and cute schtick. The teriyaki and Midwest club are my favorites, the meatballs are tasty, and the employees are friendly, the shop, spotless. It's not cheap, especially if you want a 12", but it's competitive with others in the area, there's no way to eat a whole 12", so you have leftovers, and the selection here is enormous. There are less expensive smaller sizes, as well.Delicious bread, fresh meats and cheeses, and the parmesan herb "shake" is a clever and tasty finishing touch. Street parking is hit or miss, but not impossible; I usually pick up or use delivery, but plan to go in to eat - the dine in peeps tonight looked like they were enjoying themselves with live trivia. Great neighborhood sandwich shop...
