The Country Club — Restaurant in Lake View Township

DO NOT GO HERE!!!!! SERVER CLEARED WALLET OFF OF TABLE!!! I went to this bar last night and had an okay time, nothing fun nor not fun.

However, as my night was nearing an end I went to the bathroom, I put my wallet on the table so my friend could watch it. Apparently, our server here completely cleared our table, meaning my wallet with both of our drinks when she came. My friend didn’t notice that my wallet was gone at first until we were gone and then she remembered the server clearing out ENTIRE table. This was only 20 minutes later…

I proceeded to call the bar the entire rest of the night, from 11pm till 2am to try and get my wallet back. It’s disturbing to me that this place doesn’t care about the mistake they made nor do they care about returning a wallet to a paying customer. I have called over 300 times since less than 24 hours ago and have only JUST GOTTEN through to them with news they have my wallet. Once I got confirmation it was my wallet they simply hung up on me and haven’t picked up since. I don’t live close so I would like to know when I can get it. Thanks to these horrible people at this bar my life is on hold because the Cubs game matters more than their customers possessions. So if you care about your possessions and not having them touched while it is on one tables, this is not the place. Why even have a phone if you never answer it? After our group bought an entire round of drinks for 7 people, one of their bouncers aggressively grabbed and started throwing one of my friends out with no explanation. We were standing in a circle of just us enjoying our own company and I was sober the entire time-nobody in our group did anything remotely even obnoxious. They made ridiculously false accusations of why they were throwing him out but how they handled it was the problem. They basically tackled him without saying a single word and then after throwing him out started threatening to fight us. We almost called the police to press charges. Need to fire whoever was bouncing last night.

You are either lying or your bouncer accidentally threw out the wrong person. What you are claiming absolutely did not happen. I was 100% sober, our group is all professionals, and the guy you’re accusing was standing in our closed circle with his wife. Also odd that there was no cleanup/spilled drinks anywhere near our group don’t you think?

O Country Club O Country Club I never gave you guys a chance until last night and I'm so glad we did.. Was in the neighborhood walking around with some friends last night and it was pretty lame everywhere and then we walked past here. Definitely wasn't what I was expecting to see on a Monday in wrigleyville. We didn't expect too much and we just figured to have 1 drink and be nosey and then head out. Well we headed out 4 hours later hehe We found out it was some sort of special event last night and everybody that was working there last night didn't really work there. The music was amazing. The guys behind the bar were the nicest bartenders I've ever met. They should work there all the time. They even bought my girlfriends and I a round of shots and did 1 with us. We all had a blast.
