All I wanted to eat was 1 French toast, ham, and 2 scrambled eggs. My French toast and the plate were cold. The plate with the ham and eggs was hot. I asked for a fresh piece of French toast. The waitress placed the order, I assume. After 15 mins, I still did not have my French toast. When I checked out, I told the waitress I was not paying for the French toast. She agreed. The manager had to be called to remove the French toast from my order. Her attitude was unprofessional. While she decided she needed to explain the entire cooking process of making French toast, a server came to say the French toast was ready. I was like, wow. Why did it take so long? The manager proceeded to explain in great detail the process of cooking a hot piece of French toast. My response was, clearly that's not the process because my original order was a piece of cold bread with cinnamon sprinkled on top. I decided to refrain from the back and forth dialogue about serving me a cold piece of toast. She continued to speak and describe the process. As I ignored her and paid, I turned to walk out. She proceeded to instigate by yelling, Have A Nice Day, in the most unprofessional tone. I frequent the South side, Davenport, and Millenia Mall locations. Read moreI wanted to take a moment to share the consistently wonderful experiences my family and I have had at the Kiki’s location in North Lakeland. Every time we visit, we’re greeted with warm hospitality and attentive service that truly makes a difference. Today was no exception. Our server, Cheyenne, was exceptional. She was kind, knowledgeable, and made us feel genuinely welcomed.
During our visit, I asked Cheyenne if there was an affiliation with the Kiki’s on South Florida Avenue, and she informed me there was not. I was relieved to hear this, as our experiences at that location have unfortunately been quite different. Despite multiple visits, the service there has always felt transactional and impersonal, lacking the welcoming atmosphere we’ve come to appreciate in North Lakeland.
While I now willingly drive the extra 15 minutes to dine at the North Lakeland location, I wanted to bring this contrast to your attention. It seems there may be a difference in leadership or service training between the two locations. I truly hope the South Florida store can elevate their standards to match the excellence consistently demonstrated at North Lakeland.

Read moreThis was our first time here. Our server, Stephanie, was GREAT!! Very friendly and ATTENTIVE! Now the bad parts…the waffle that was sent out for my son was extremely hard. Stephanie noticed it as soon as she came over to check on us and immediately took it back to the kitchen. My omelette came out about 10 minutes after our other food and it was still runny throughout. The manager (I’m assuming she was management because she had on a white shirt) brought my son’s waffle out and just walked away. So our server came back to check on his waffle and I showed her my runny omelette. She took it to the manager (so she is now FULLY aware of the situation) Once the new omelette came out, everyone else was done eating so I just asked for a box for mine. Stephanie brought us our check and SHE is the one that apologized and looked at the check to see if the manager had done anything for the trouble and she had not. She took it back to the manager, who then brought it back with a $5 discount…and a little attitude. I didn’t complaint get free food…but I do expect food that I pay for to be cooked correctly.
