My husband and I have been frequent customers of Garbonzos since 2011, first at 32nd and Lowell and more recently in Lakewood near the Mill. We have always enjoyed fresh, tasty food, and never disappointed. About 2 weeks ago we stopped by for a take-out plate, and upon arriving home to eat the food was tasteless and sub-par. We chalked it up to ordering towards the end of the evening. Today I met a friend there, and this time I ordered the plate without pita bread or rice (due to dietary restrictions). First off, the humus was placed in a small container in the middle of the plate. As I ordered the other ingredients, I was shocked at the extremely small serving sizes. By the end of the line I couldn't believe that the $10 "plate" appeared to be half-way empty, with a smaller-than-usual order of the chicken. When I complained, I was told by the server that it looked small because I elected to order without the pita bread or rice. Also that they have customers who come in and order a plate with just meat and salad, but that's also their choice. Really???? I would have been ok if they had at least offered to supplement with more lettuce or cucumber salad. But apparently the move to cut food costs outweighs customer satisfaction. To top it off, the food overall was still sub-par today. Just to let you know, this will be my last visit to Garbonzos. You have lost a long-time customer for the sake of cutting back on the food quantity and apparently quality, lack of customer service by your staff, and overall dissatisfaction with what has, for the past few years, been our go-to restaurant for fresh, yummy Mediterranean food at a...
Read moreThis is an awful restaurant! Honestly it's probably the worst place to order anything for delivery! Our delivery driver was very kind and apologetic for taking so long to get us our food, so my qualm lies with the quality of food and service of the restaurant itself. I called the restaurant in an effort to find out where my order was and if there was an option to tip my delivery driver. However, after 2 calls to the restaurant, someone answered and hung up! I called a 3rd time, and the phone just rang continuously. I have covid so ordering delivery was my only option so I wouldn't get anyone else sick, not to mention the salad I ordered looked very questionable. So of course I thought I'd better not risk catching any food borne illness by eating any of the food. I was hoping to speak to a manager about the issue, but after reading many other not-so-positive reviews stating the manager does not ever rectify any issues, I am left with no choice but to report the lack of quality and health risk of this food to the city health inspector. This is absolutely unacceptable service. I am promptly demanding my money back! Courtney Bowman, you'd better respond to...
Read moreI really love garbanzo. However I will never come back to this location. I walked up to order and stood there while the girl(isabelle) flirted with some guy. I waited for them to stop and for them to ask me if i wanted a free sample of falafel. Never happened. I had to enterupt them to order my food. The food was cold, rice was crunchy and the chicken was like leather. Also, if I ask for more tabouleh( the reason i come to garbanzo's) just give me some more not make smart comments about it and then give me the same amount. As my wife and I eat our messed up food. The girl and guy were making rude comments the whole time about us. Saying we shouldn't have a kid and we need to get a life. (Little do they know we recently lost our little girl) They proceeded to degrate every other customer in the restaurant. It was really awkward. For the cost of the food, I would expect great customer service.
Any other garbanzo's location...
