Kataluma Chai — Restaurant in Lakewood

I just had the most disappointing service here that I have ever had at any establishment. We used to have a Kataluma Chai in Silverdale, WA and I loved their drinks and was devastated when they closed. I am on a business trip in Denver and drove 30 miles out of my way to come enjoy a chai milkshake. We showed up 30 minutes until closing, were told she had already put everything away and gave attitude. Finally decided to take our order and very begrudgingly made the milkshakes. She dumped out the first batch. My guess is she was so focused on being angry and not getting to close early that she messed it up, then the second time she kept going over to the sink debating whether to toss it and remake it yet again and then decided to pour it in the cups and serve it to us with ice cold silence. Love Kataluma Chai for YEARS! I was born and raised right next to the mills, but it was probably about 15 years ago or so that they opened here and I've been in love since! Even when I lived on the East Coast, every time I came home Kataluma was always on the list of places I had to visit! I've brought many friends that came to visit me/with me... and I've never had one person complain or say they wish we went somewhere else. They have so many different flavors and blends, they're literally us something there for everyone!

Love this chai shop. For those posting that their chai was too sweet, I heavily recommend purchasing a different drink before you leave a nasty review. They have more spice based options, but at the same time, they definitely cater to those who are used to picking up their sweet treat from Starbucks.
