I don't write many reviews, but my experience at the McDonald's on Saginaw requires a review. While waiting on my order of 2 ice cream sundaes instead the lobby of the restaurant I noticed that I wasn't the only person who waited over 30 mins for a simple. There was another customer who also waited for one medium fry. I also say a woman who just got a drink from the kiosk, but they were out of it. The problem definitely wasn't a lack of employees, because I counted at least 8 employees. They were also out of straws and napkins. The woman waited patiently, but she was completely ignored by the employee at the front counter. Finally the manager walked by, though she seemed to have the whole "deer in head lights" look to her. The customer asked for help and was told they didn't have any ice tea at all. The manager then grabbed a bag of straws and hand the customer a few but dropped the bag on the counter. The customer was clearly frustrated, but went out of her way to stock the straws in the lobby. Thats right, the customer did it!!! The staff couldn't be bothered. In my experience, fast food restaurants usually focus on taking care of the drive thru over the in store customers, and that was certainly happening. But that is not out of the normal. I believe the issue is that the restaurant was full filling orders from apps like uber eats. Maybe it was a perfect storm and they just had several large online orders that they couldn't handle. I'm not sure, but I can say that was by far the worst experience I've had inside a McDonald's. And I've been at the McDonald's on grand river on Halloween weekend full of drunk college students. That place had to have cops inside to keep the customers in order, but the employees still managed to run a tight shift. Read moreWent there earlier today with a mobile order. Worst service I've ever received at any McDonalds before. They had me come inside for no apparent reason when I told them my order code. I went inside (inconvenience) and I gave the lady the order code with no issues (lady could've easily inputed order code from drive-thru). She gives me the receipt and I wait for a good 5-6 minutes for my food after ordering the food 20+ minutes before (driving, waiting in drive-through, and coming inside). The food still wasn't ready and I go back to my car because I was tired of standing and waiting for food. I went through the drive through again, and went to the window when they told me to go back inside. I became upset at the inability to receive my meal in a timely and efficient manner, so I just went to the drive-thru window to collect my order. They informed me that they had to remake my food AGAIN (because it was no cold), so I had to wait another 10 minutes to receive my food. When I finally got to leave with my food, it was 40 minutes after I had ordered, I had gone into the Mcdonalds twice, and I failed to receive the two sauces I had selected. I am very disappointed with my experience, and I will never go to this location again. My food still somehow ended up being cold regardless of them supposedly "making the order again" but I ate the food because I was very hungry.
I have never had this problem with any other Mcdonalds, and I feel that the workers at this location are simply incompetent to borderline stupid. If I were the owner of this location, I would retrain all of the workers so that mobile orders can be done through the drive-thru instead of coming inside. Read moreAfter ordering and the girl not hearing me the first time I ordered she giggled her whole way through it finally got my order and then I waited in line for, I kid you not, 17 minutes. The kicker was all we ordered was to McFlurries and a kids meal It doesn't take 17 minutes to defrost some chicken nuggets and fries. Once we got to the window though I realized probably why we are waiting so long to begin with granted most of it was spent at the window waiting watching all this but there was about 10 different employees all up in the front area not one of them doing anything other than messing around with the other. One was even so blatantly relaxed that she brought her food which by the looks of it, was a shake or ice cream. She was just leaning against the counter at the drive-thru window eating.... I'm glad somebody's being fed because it sure isn't the person paying for their food! The location in Frandor/East Saginaw (Lansing-#12123) Slowest McDonald's and worst customer service around! They can't even handle giving you straws for your drinks or condiments for your chicken nuggets or fries. It's ridiculous after waiting for 15 plus minutes they couldn't even get the sauces in the bag. Never has my family, or anyone I know for that matter, had a good experience at this location. It's the running joke of bad McDonald's.... It's pitiful. Between the seven different cars they were already pulled up waiting for their food and then the one that pulled in the spot and me there was almost 10 cars waiting for their food meanwhile them boys inside we're not doing anything but standing around talking and eating.
