It's in a building that I think was once used for a high school. I walked in the wrong door and was wandering around a little bit and amazed at the various uses and offices that are in that building. When I found the actual coffee house it was quaint, clean, helpful people and really just a treasure. They have a zero waste policy so if you don't bring your own cup plan on spending a dollar for a 12 oz. I think mason jar. Sent me back a few years and gave me a bit of Joy at the same time. Only thing better than the food was the service. The barista was really good. Can't say more than that. Got a cookie. It was warmed up perfectly and was so stuffed full of chocolate chips that I got a little on my nose. Luckily my son was with me who pointed it out. Otherwise, I might have been walking around all day with a little bit of melted chocolate stuck to my nose. This is one of those places that it's worth going out of your way to go to. If you go a little bit too far it might catch you off guard because if you miss the sign it's just a big brick building. Wander in. It's kind of...
Read moreSeemed like a cool vibe when looking online for coffee while traveling through. Clicked on their menu and saw the $8 breakfast burrito which was my deciding factor. Arrived and it was $12.50 but sold out. That happens but the prices listed online should be updated. Get a $4 cold brew and am informed of the zero waste aspect so would be charged $1 for a glass and asked if I could use my coffee thermos, which I could. I loved this but then they still charged me $1 for their mason jar that I didn't even use. After tip, $6 and change for coffee in my own thermos left a bad taste in my mouth but not as bad as the coffee. Cold brew was gritty on the ice and tasted like packs of Sugar in the Raw, which I'm assuming were poured in while filling my container? Not a great initial taste and then an even worse aftertaste. I really wanted to love this experience but there were zero redeeming qualities of my visit. Love the idea but was not a fan of the misleading pricing, service or the coffee. Definitely would not...
Read moreEdit: my original review was 3 stars. I am in fact a customer (i suppose after this, was) and have purchased multiple items from Sunshine since working there as it's a 4 minute walk from my home. I honestly just don't think the food or coffee are standout, but the service is good and its convenient, which was reflected in my initial review.
I have reviewed many places, both positive and negative. In a small town like Laramie, it is impossible to never have any personal overlap with any of the businesses. I specifically waited over half a year from the time "my employment was terminated" to leave a review so that it was not influenced by any ill feelings on either part, and I am reviewing as a customer. Though I do believe employees also have a right to review a place of work, that is not what has happened here. I stand by my initial review, which to be clear, did not even say anything negative. Since recieving the response from the owner, I have lowered my review to reflect the lack of...
