We are food and travel vloggers, and we have easily tried several hundred restaurants in Las Vegas. To fit into our top 10 is no easy feat. Fin and Feathers is now one of our top 10 in terms of hitting everything we are looking for. 1. Amazing customer service - not only were we greeted with a genuine welcome, we were shown and allowed to choose from 3 seating options. Our waitress, Erica, gave great recommendations based on flavors we enjoy. Nothing is worse than going somewhere and the answer is "I haven't tried that" or "it's all good". She was able to describe each sauce and the preparation of each item which was a great help to choose something that was going to be just right. Gilbert and a second employee/manager? Came out during our meal to make sure everything was perfect - which it was but the vibe was if it was not, they would fix the issue immediately. 2. Decor/cleanliness - spotlessly clean, a great porch which is covered in cool months and filled with heaters for an "outdoor" experience including TVs to watch the games, a beautiful funky-cool lounge area (where the music is fancy and louder than other areas), or a bar area where you can chat with the friendly bartender. 3. Phenomenal food at a fair price. This s spot did NOT leave us feeling cheated. The food is priced right and their extensive $5 happy hour offerings are perfect for ordering a bunch and sharing! We started with: $5 wings and fries $5 chicken thigh nuggets and fries $14 jerk egg rolls w/sweet chili sauce $5 items were very good (their shoestring seasoned fries are like crack... We devoured them! But the star of the apps was the jerk egg rolls. We would have gotten another order but we had already ordered entrees and wanted to be able to make it from the table to the car without a nap. We got the $15 BBQ chicken sandwich (excellent - down to the toasted, soft brioche bun) and $21 roasted chicken thighs (cooked with a slightly sweet/slightly orange sauce that was next level. Something to point out is that the scratch-made sides are NOT an afterthought here. The jalapeno roasted corn tastes like a buttery corn bread your grandma would make with just a hint of jalapeno for a little kick. The whipped potatoes are not chunky, no skin, a really enjoyable buttery potato that is no frills, but hard to stop eating. To be honest, after that amazing meal, we knew whatever dessert came out would be unbelievable so we told the waitress to just bring out whatever. It turned out to be a butter walnut pound cake with a sweet glaze and homemade whipped topping. And it was exactly as expected... Unbelievably, melt-in-your-mouth tasty. It would be a shame if you went to the Arts District and did not devote a meal to trying this spot out. There is a reason this restaurant has grown to 5 successful locations in Atlanta, and Las Vegas is very lucky to be chosen as it's newest spot to share this thoughtfully prepared food complete with some of the friendliest people making sure your visit is one you won't soon forget.

Was disappointed by this place. Went on a Saturday and to our surprise it wasn’t busy. It wasn’t a very welcoming vibe when we walked in. However, our waitress made up for the lack of customer service we received upon arrival. Even though it wasn’t busy, it still felt a little cramped. We were seated on the deck under a heater/AC unit. This place also has a lot of TVs for sports lovers so we enjoyed that. DRINKS HERE ARE ON POINT! Shoutout to the bartender🙌🏾 I ordered the PCH and recommend it. We ordered a few items since it was our first time here. The Jerk Chicken Eggroll had good flavoring but were super dry. The Caesar Chicken Wrap was THE BEST thing we ate all morning. I ordered Lamb Chops & Eggs, the lamb was not cooked right as it was super gamey and smothered in lamb sauce which it probably could do without. Eggs & potatoes were good but the biscuit was rock hard. We also ordered the deep fried catfish with a side of Whipped Potatoes & Mac ‘n Cheese. Get the grilled catfish! Deep fried had too much breading and felt like I was gonna break a tooth biting through it. Whipped Potatoes were good but the Mac ‘n Cheese definitely gave “Kraft Mac ‘n Cheese.” The end of the dining experience was the worst. This gentleman came by and let us & the table next to us know that they had a lot of waiting customers to be seated. He was so rude, like tell us to leave without telling us to leave. I felt so bad for the waitress because she was trying to give good service but had to combat that man’s attitude the entire time we were there. I probably won’t go back but if you do, I hope you have a better dining experience than I did.

While visiting with my cousin, I wanted to explore her new community. She told me about a black-owned restaurant where the food was really good. So, we went to Fins & Feathers. Parking (metered) was very convenient. Outside of Fins & Feathers was their welcome sign. I noticed Monday-Friday, $5 daily food specials 😋 We went inside, and there is inside seating and a patio. There were flat screen tv's on the patio. We were greeted with a smile by our hostess/server, Chloe. We chose to sit outside, and then she led us to the patio. The patio had a nice vibe to it. There was party music playing in the background. The MLB playoffs were on as well as the WNBA finals. I advised that this was my first time here, so Chloe had made suggestions from the menu. I ordered the catfish nuggets w/fries, and two chicken tacos. My cousin ordered the veggie tacos. Shortly afterward, our food arrived. I took a bite of the nugget, and it was a party in my mouth. They were fresh and tender. The fries were good as well. The chicken tacos were awesome. I finished it all with a margarita, I believe it was mango. I enjoyed the food so much that we returned on Friday. I ordered the party wings. They were seasoned just enough to lick your 💋 The owner Gilbert came out and talked with us. We even met Ian, the cook.. Overall, I loved the food, the great service, and the vibe of Fins & Feathers staff. I highly recommend Fins & Feathers, and I give it two 👍 👍.

I should be sad about writing this review, but I’m more MAD at the absolute HORRIBLE service my family and I received. I don’t know if this establishment considers itself black owned, but it’s definitely run by Black people. I am a Las Vegas local who consistently visited this establishment multiple times over the past year, The last two visits were so horrible and egregious, and honestly baffling. Horrible visit number 1: my partner and I were curious about sitting on the lounge side to enjoy hookah and our food. We were seated by a gentleman who I believe to be the manager, I’ve never gotten his name but he’s a bald man with glasses, on the lounge side. It’s not that busy just a few other seated parties, the two servers kept walking by us, no greeting no questions nothing. We sat for 10 minutes before we decided to leave. I’ve been in the service industry for 10 years and NEVER treated a potential customer that way! As we’re walking out the bald gentleman asks us what’s wrong and why are we leaving so soon, we explain that no one has stopped by to greet us or get our drink order. He assures us everything will be better moving forward. The same waitress who kept walking past us came to us and gave some bullhorn apology about not knowing we were her table. The evening moves forward and the manager did comp our hookah and a drink and we still tipped her accordingly (20% off of the total including the comped items) Horrible visit number 2: we come in with family and we didn’t have a reservation so we get on the “waitlist”, 45 minutes later we come back because we haven’t received a text about our table and luckily we did because we were sat immediately without even asking about the waitlist. Again we’re sat in the lounge area, it’s very packed from a bridal party and extremely loud! Again the same waitress who ignored us last time, ignoring us again. We tried to order mimosas but was told TWENTY MINUTES LATER that they had run out of champagne, we asked to move sections because the music is so deafening it’s uncomfortable. Once we’re moved we saw her 2 times and then she NEVER came back! And I had to ask for the bill myself and honestly if we had walked out I wouldn’t have felt bad because you cannot put automatic gratuity on bills over $100 and treat people any kind of way! The nerve of yall to even have a rule like that when your service is BELOW SUBPAR! I have referred this establishment TOO many times to be treated like my time and money aren’t worth basic customer service! Idk if yall don’t have the correct internal structure to run smoothly but basic service is #1 always. You can’t stay in business long with staff that aren’t customer service oriented. If I have to be treated badly for some okay food, I would...

Honest opinion. I have a bad impression of Black Owned...this place did not improve that impression. We got to the restaurant at 1pm. As I write this at 2:33 pm we have been seated. We ordered bottomless mimosas, that we got 5 minutes ago that had no flavor as listed on the menu, I got mango and my wife got peach.... tasted like regular no flavor mimosas, the cups were dirty. We asked for different cups.....they were less than clean when they arrived. We had to interrogate our server as to when we could order our main meal. We ordered catfish bites, they came late with no napkins and no flavor. It was explained to us that the food was late due to 2 large parties that came after us. Basically if you are hungry and want to eat here, plan on being here all day. The table next to us found a hair in their mac n cheese, they didn'tsay anythingabout it and kept eating. I judged them with silent discust. We ordered our mains at 2:34pm. Wife ordered chicken and waffles. I ordered fried chicken. At 3:03pm we asked for our food to go and the check we got both at 3:20pm. There was a guy who came and asked us how everything was we told him about the wait he offered us 10% on a $98 bill, not good enough for me to be swayed on my opinion of the the place. We finally escaped at 3:36pm. With nothing to go on as far as the food goes other than the flavorless items we had. I will add comments after I have actually eaten the food in our hotel room. Update, food was awful, the southern fried chicken was chewy un-cooked and under seasoned. Waffles were decent, jalapeño corn was literally corn with sweet chili sauce mixed in, fries couldhave been better but they were the skinniest fries and not as ling as shoe string fries. Only positive, music was good....literally if my lady wasn't with me I would have left a long time ago. They have no structure which lead to a bad experience, despite what kind of traffic your restaurant has.... no matter the events that are happeningin the area, you should plan for it. In Vegas, you don't get that pass because there is always something happening. The server should not also be the bus boy he kept comingup to clear tables with nothingto give us, we were gettingtired of seeing him. Literally had the guy that gave us the discount (manager) (owner) who knows didn't introduce himself....come upstairs were we were seated and was surprised that they had seating as the people that were there left 10 minutes prior. I will not suggest any of my family members or friends to go here. Anyone that is promoting them needs to give that blood money back cause ther is no way the food is good enough to post about. As I am still hungry after 4 hours of being held prisoner at...
