Louie's Pizzeria — Restaurant in Layton

First, I'm a pan pizza person, and these are assuredly not pan pizzas. Part of me really wants to dock them a star for this failure.

Second, I've never had SO MUCH TOPPING on a pizza —not even close! So much topping fell off of 2 small pizzas, that part of me wished we'd gotten a third plain cheese that we could have put all the toppings that had fallen off the other 2 pizzas - if we'd done this, that 3rd pizza would still have had more toppings than most other pizzas that I've had in many decades of life! I normally feel jipped by pizza toppings, but with these I actually felt a smidge guilty, but mostly just amazed, at just how much they had piled on!

Third, they don't charge per topping, which means that I didn't feel like we needed to skimp on flavor just to save money. We ended up doing two custom pizzas. One was a meaty sorta-Greek pizza with pepperoni, chicken, tomatoes, olives, cheese, & feta, while the second was an American Hawaiian (yes, I know that Hawaii is part of America, I'm refering to the substitution of "Canadian" bacon with more common "American" bacon) with bacon, pineapple, tomatoes, & cheese.

Combine #2 & #3 and you end up with the most absolutely flavorful pizzas that I've ever had - bar none!

The only thing that would make them better is a pan pizza option!

If they offered a pan pizza option, they would simply and indisputably be pizza nirvana!

(Sorry, I was too hungry to snap pictures before we inhaled these amazing pies. If I had, you'd have barely seen any cheese through all the other toppings! I would normally say that I'll post a picture before inhaling my future orders, but honestly, I'm already drooling too much at the thought of my next order, so, I'll probably inhale those before stopping to...

First, I don't usually leave reviews, I figured everyone else who has come before me has that covered. But Louie's went so above and beyond that I couldn't not leave a review.

I was in Layton last week for a fireworks show and ordered a pizza to pick up from Louie's to take to the Fireworks show. My friend and I picked up our pizza (half BBQ, half Meat Head), found a parking spot nearby the park with the fireworks, and walked ten minutes to the park. Once we found our spot we opened our box and found that Louie's had forgotten the BBQ sauce on the BBQ pizza (the pizza was surprisingly good, even without the sauce). I called Louie's and explained the situation to them. We didn't have time to go pick up another pizza and Louie's closed before the fireworks show started. Instead, at the suggestion of the employee I spoke to, her husband (also an employee) would deliver the pizza to us in the middle of a park at the fireworks show. True to their word, they made us a new (DELICIOUS) pizza and delivered it to us at the park. I am still SO AMAZED at the incredible customer service of these employees. This was my first time trying this restaurant and I will absolutely be back. Not only was the pizza absolutely phenomenal (seriously - the BEST pizza crust I have ever had), but they truly care about their customers.

Thank you Louie's for the delicious pizza and for the lengths you went to provide my friend and I with a new pizza with the BBQ sauce. This experience will forever stand out to me as an incredible example of customer service... and mouth...
