I ordered an ice cream cake online for my birthday (Midnight Delight). It is my favorite cake but I can only justify the cost on occasions. A few days later I went to get it and when I got home I realized it was so freezer burned it shouldn’t have ever been considered for sale. The bottom layer had obviously melted and been refrozen a few times, it was a solid block of ice. The ganache layer was freezer burned and taste bitter. Only about a fourth of the cake was served, and even that was inedible. I have tried the last couple days to call them but every time I call the line is busy. I have called over 12 times and still busy. I have a hard time believing it’s actually busy. It seems like it’s been left off the hook by an employee so they don’t have to answer phone calls.
This cake should be replaced with an edible one or my money should be refunded. This is inexcusable customer service. The cake’s state was bad enough but the customer service has me convinced I will never return to this cold stone or any other again. I’m hoping this review is seen and the GM does something to rectify the situation since all my other attempts have been in vain.
It is incredible how far good costumer service can take you, but bad service is equally as damaging. I’d over look the cake if I saw any type of attempt to rectify the situation. Until then, I suggest going to Handels for ice cream. It’s worth the drive and I have only had good...
Read moreMy roommate was craving coldstone so we went to get some ice cream. We arrived at 9:34 pm thinking they closed at 10pm. They close at 9:30pm on Sunday. The young man who seemed to be in charge sang us a welcome song, let us get in line and singled is out, telling us that they were closed and that they would not serve us. There were at least 6 other people in line and 3 different groups sitting at tables. Apparently this young man has no concept of customer service. I asked him how long it would take to serve the other people and if he was going to kick the inside dinners out when they were done with the line, to which he said no. He kept saying it was company policy, which makes no sense because company policy is to reject peoples money who you are gonna be open because you have inside customers? Lol this is what happens when you have 18 years olds running your business who care more about closing and going home then making more money. Well that was $20 you lost and two customers you will never have again plus any other customers I can take from you through world if mouth....
Read moreMy family has this debate about which is better: Cold Stone or Nielsen's custard. But in my mind there's no debate: Cold Stone wins hands down, which is why I always go here, use their coupons from Hometown Values and remember to get my punch card punched. I always get mint ice cream with chocolate chips in it. My daughter gets sweet cream with bananas, pecans and just a hint of caramel, which is also to die for. When my husband does deign to come with, he will get cake batter with pecans and a little caramel in a waffle Bowl. They also have milkshakes, cupcakes, pies, cakes--just about everything to rot your teeth and give the dentist a run for his money! And many of the Cold Stone's are paired with Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory, which is great for me because I love to get my English toffee on! So I walk out of there with my Cold Stone for today and two or three large chunks of English toffee covered in dark chocolate and almonds to last for at least 3 weeks. What a perfect end to a rough day, am I...
