I’ve been working in the mall for about nine months now. And in those nine months I have been to Melty about 4 times. First time I ordered a tomato basil sandwich. I spent seven dollars just on the sandwich. The sandwiches are small which left me still hungry leaving me to go spend money somewhere else. Second time I ordered a salad. The lettuce was still on the stock trying to cut it up with the plastic knife. With very little toppings missing avocado, which was the most expensive part that I paid for. Third time I went in. I asked to order two different sandwiches which they told me i couldn’t order because they didn’t have the ingredients to make it. Today I went in for the 4th time. I thought I would give it one more chance because it looked like new staff. The lady there was very sweet and look like she was working hard. I got my salad and started eating it to find out the very little toppings, missing the most expensive part again, which I paid for the avocado. Also missing red onions and other stuff. Because I am on my break, I don’t have time for them to fix it. I don’t know how other stores are, but I really feel like this store needs some intervention and training from somebody who really knows what they are doing. Maybe training is difficult because of such a high turnover. I wish the best for the store, and that somebody can make...
Read moreWe were kind of disappointed with our lunch today. We live in Cache Valley (60+ minutes away), so we don't get this way often and like to try things we don't have. I looked up the food court options online on the way, and was pretty excited to try this place. I got a spicy chicken sandwich and my husband got a jalapeño burger, both with tots and a drink. I was taken aback by the cost, but thought maybe the portions would explain it, or it would be SO good. It don't really turn out that way. The young person at the counter was nice, but when I asked how spicy the sandwich was, I got "uhhh..." and then I couldn't hear as they turned away to look up at the menu. Apparently they weren't sure what was ON it. Okay, fine. I ordered it. I was told I was "lucky because there's only 1 chicken left". It was the NOON hour!! It took quite a while to get our food. And the tots were not hot. They were, at least, well cooked. I felt the prices were really high for the portions (I'd rather have smaller portions than some places do, but not for that price). It was ok. I might give it another try. Maybe. Several things...
Read moreI've been here twice so far on mall trips and first time around I wanted to try something more than the basic, so I got the artichoke chicken with pesto melt. It was good, but if you're not a pesto fan then I think you'd probably enjoy trying something else more.
Round two I wasn't super hungry so I picked something I could split with my daughter. The turkey bacon cheese melt hit alllll the right spots. Just the right amount of butter on the toasted bread and good portions of cheese and meat with the bacon cooked to a good texture. Was actually sad I didn't get to eat both halves :')
A small detail I appreciated was that they have buzzers for your order so you know when it's done. That seemed especially helpful in a mall where I watched other places yelling out customer orders that no one could hear in a crowded food court, and those orders just sat there getting cold.
I haven't yet tried their sides, soups, or salads, but I'll definitely be...
