Dang y'all, lemme tell ya, you want a clean car, get your booty to Hugh & Jeff's!
Quick overview, carwash & detail, SPECTACULAR.
Service, slightly over the top.
Food, good, but expected.
Atmosphere, better if you're in the clique.
Our first time here, wasn't sure where to go when we pulled into the parking lot, then noticed the cars needing a detail were 'round back so drove back there and waited. We noticed the cars in front of us didn't have a driver🤔
There were four lanes of various vehicles in front of us, prolly a dozen cars in each lane. Eventually an employee came to my car and asked if we were there for a carwash (seems obvious). I said yeah, he said to park in the lot up front and tell the front desk so we did.
The nice lady at the front desk gave us more information, took our money and my cell number, told me to expect a text when our car detail is completed which should be about two hours. The two hour time frame gave me pause but having never been there I didn't know what to expect.
We found a table in the rear of the building where there's garage doors opened to view the line of cars in the lanes we'd previously been behind. Cool space, neat set up, bar, tables, TVs, etc. There was smoking allowed in this area however there is seating inside where it's prohibited.
Our waitress was super efficient, nice, knowledgeable, and funny. As we ordered a couple of avocado appetizers the waitress said she'd "have them right out for ya". We told her to take her time as we were there "for about two hours" to which she replied "yeah right, it's never just two hours".🤔
Food was good, avocadoes were great, tacos, chicken, really good. But as stated above, it was all expected. We expected the food to remind us of a Chili's, Applebee's, or Cheddar's. They're not winning any awards here but it was filling, priced right, and we didn't leave hungry.
Since the food came out as it was ready from the kitchen we were done eating in about half an hour. We closed our tab and never saw our waitress again. What we did see were the same three waiters making circles around this back section of the restaurant. Our table had been cleared, we thought we have about ninety minutes to kill, and every few minutes we were asked "y'all all good?". "Yup", "yes", "yeah, thank you" we answered over, and over, and over again for the next hour and a half.
Since we had this time to do nothing, it was very obvious there were cliques in this area of the restaurant. Folks that were there the night before, closed down the place, reminisced how drunk they were the night before, etc.
Since we were sitting where we could see all the cars slowly moving forward, towards the wash, when ours eventually moved around the corner to the detail area, we slid out of that part of the restaurant and closer to the exit. After another hour and a half, chit chatting with he front desk lady, when our keys were finally brought to here, she winked and said "looks like I was a little off".
Her two hour time frame estimate turned into about three and a half hours! Our waitress was right, I bet it's never two hours. I should point out this was a Saturday morning. It's very clear they're making they're money on drinks, drinks for sure, the longer you stay the more you drink, then food. So quote a couple hours time frame at the front, sit, few drinks, food, think you can stretch it to two hours and out the door but nope, open another tab cuz you're there another hour and a half. It also wasn't lost on us all the brown people were outside, sweating, with no contact with paying customers. I hope tips collected inside are shared with the "outside help" as we weren't given the chance to tip them directly.
Now that I know what to expect and be prepared for, we will return, with both our vehicles, leave one for a wash and run errands in the second and switch when the first is detailed. I highly recommend this place, can't say enough how well our car was detailed, SUPERB, SPECTACULAR, EXCELLENT, attention to detail...
Read moreTried to drop off my truck for a wash. The lady up front said it would be 4.5 hours and asked for my contact information. I gave her the keys and asked would she call me. She said no. She then went on to explain that if I wanted my truck washed I had to wait there for 4.5 hours. She could not explain why except that “my manager’s /owner’s decision. I asked to speak to a superior. The manager said they would not take a drop off because they made more money off people who waited there. UNDERSTOOD. I asked “on average how much more do you make?” Of course he couldn’t say because it varies but said people usually buy a burger and a few beers. I then asked could I pay for a burger and a few beers since that was “the money they would be missing “ by taking a drop off. He could only reply that the policy stated no drop off at a certain time. For someone who isn’t hungry or wanting a beer it makes no damn sense for me to sit up there for 4.5 hours, and the poor excuse is making more money on a staying customer is trash because I offered to buy a burger and few beers like the average staying customer would. Management seemed lazy, could not explain the true logic behind the policy and was purely dismissive on finding a solution. Clearly was trying to lighten the workload with this one. I have dropped a vehicle off before around the same time and picked it up 4+hours later and they did a great job. Have also eaten there before, the food is sub-par at best and the service is non existent unless you’re a regular. Don’t go there on great game/fight nights, only the regulars will get attention, a buddy of mine is a regular and that is the only way I’ve ever gotten service. Funny it works that way...
Read moreI stopped in to get my vehicle serviced detailed washed interior and exterior. It took three hours to get my vehicle back, which is understandable due to the work that was needed to be done in the midst of all this right as I was called to pick up my vehicle it started raining, which then I advise the tenant at the front Dess K it just rained on my vehicle. There’s spots all over it. I don’t believe the rain X was applied, is it not to worry you have a 48 hour notice I said well it’s supposed to rain tomorrow which is would be Friday. He said well then I guess you Gotta make it back on Saturday or Saturday show chances of rain as well and it did sprinkle on my way so I did not take my vehicle over there on Saturday. I called this morning spoke with him and I said is there anything we can do? I just spent $180 on a vehicle wash can I get it you know re-washed they said no he should’ve been here within 48 hours and I said even though it should rain on both days I said yes that’s ago so I wasted 180 and y’all have no plans of trying to rectify or validate this it’s only a simple wash. I don’t need the interior done. Y’all didn’t apply the rain ask obviously cause I stuff spots all over my windows and they applied it. It definitely wouldn’t be spotting up the way it is he said no there’s nothing I can do so I do not recommend this place to work for $180 is subpar I don’t believe that they did everything they told me they were going to do so I would recommend finding somewhere else to get your vehicle washed...
