The first thing I did was ask them if they deliver to my address and they say yes. I place my order for 2 pizzas, without cheese, and a slice of pie. $48. First large pizza is apparently $22. Okay whatever- incredibly expensive but it’s my husband’s birthday. Apparently they tried to call me back because I’m in fact NOT within their delivery range. I was busy with my kids, including getting them ready for bed. Around the time when I felt the pizza should be here, I check my phone and I have several missed calls from them. Since I’m not within their delivery range, they were willing to do it this one time but charge a fee of $10 extra. They did not make the pizzas because they were waiting on my answer. I find this out an hour later. This makes little sense to me because I was already told that depending on where we are located, there could be an extra charge & would I be okay with that- to which I gave my permission. I spoke to a manager who only registered the favor he was doing for me- not the fact that they told me when I called that I was within delivery range- a false confirmation. 1.5 hour later, 2 of my children are asleep without dinner. They just fell asleep - nothing I could do. I was hoping they would be able to wait but they just couldn’t. 7pm. I ordered at 5:30. Food still not due for another 30 min, I’m told. The $10 fee goes to the driver but the sad thing is, I would have been happy to tip extra anyway. I would never lowball anyone in service especially when something wasn’t their fault. But here I am... waiting for an order to be made before it can even be delivered. And kids who sadly went to bed on an empty stomach. On my husband’s birthday. They’re saved in my phone now as “do not order from here” just in case. Never again. $58 plus tips for a 2+ hour pizza without cheese. It’s almost laughable. Why not just come here, rob me, and throw...
Read moreMama Lucci's is turning into an average pizza delivery service. We don't order from them too often, but I always thought of their pizza as being, well.. 'not bad', obviously not a "Fireworks Pizza" quality, but still the best choice if you don't feel like going out.. Yesterday was a huge disappointment. We ordered an Egyptian Trio appetizer (we always order it as a virtually only non-fried appetizer) - it was good, it's always been. We also ordered a small Gyro pizza and a small Grilled chicken & fresh mozzarella pizza. Let's start with Gyro - it wasn't inedible, but it was very greasy (I know some folks like it, but hey why not just order at Little Caesar's then, at least you're paying like half the price, right..?) and it didn't have a lot of ingredients on it. Some gyro meat, cheese, some olives, some feta and a few tiny pieces of what you might call a fresh tomato. Now the Grilled chicken & fresh mozzarella was just not good at all, a complete waste of money. A basic marinara from any other place would be better. It was basically a lot of cheese, pizza sauce & some chunks of chicken. NO fresh tomatoes, NO fresh basil, NO sundried tomatoes (detectable or visible), & NO mushroom. And to make it an even 'better' experience, even though we ordered small pizzas, we received and were charged for medium ones. I don't recommend this place and I won't be ordering...
Read moreWe chose to dine here because I asked on Facebook if anyone knew of a place with cream of crab soup around here, and this place got raving reviews for their cream of crab soup. I brought my mom and my children along, and we were all excited for the soup, until it arrived at the table. Definitely not real cream of crab soup- it's more of a creamy Maryland crab soup. Definitely let down by that, and I was the only one who didn't mind eating it, but when we were talking to the waitress, she started arguing with my mother about how we don't know what cream of crab soup is- it was a bit crazy! Then our mozzarella sticks arrived, cold. So we asked if we could have them re-fried. When the waitress returned to take our dinner order, she prefaced by saying, " make sure to order something you're actually going to like." My mom and I were pretty taken back by this, but just replied that this was our first time dining here so we don't know what to order, and we hope we'll like the food we chose. We ordered fettuccini alfredo, chicken parmesan, and steak and chicken kabob platters. The food tasted like the frozen tv dinners my grandmother used to eat. Between the sub-par food, and the sub-par staff attitude, we will...
