If I could give this zero stars for service, I would. Incredibly rude person who was running the show. It was 4 pm when we walked in. She couldn’t seat us for another 20 minutes, and then the pizza would arrive 30 minutes after we ordered. I said we’d just order takeout, and she said to get a menu, go out of the restaurant, decide what we wanted, then come back in when we were ready to order. Though she spoke so rudely, we thought okay, it’s a small space, so that’s fine. We looked around for a menu, said we couldn’t find one. She ignored us in this small space, and finally another customer who was watching took sympathy on us and gave us their menu. We decided what we wanted, then ordered. No receipt provided, cash only. After a few minutes I asked her if she would call me, or how this would work (we were going to wait outside since it was hot inside). She said 30 minutes from when I had ordered, I should go to the back and tell them my name and they’d give me the pizza. I wasn’t sure the exact time i had placed the order and clearly she wasn’t planning on being helpful, so I waited about 20 minutes, then went to the back. The pizza makers were incredulous that I was asking them, and that she had said I should go to the back, so they called out to her. She then said she never said to go to the back, I was supposed to stay in the front. ??? Okay. I went back outside to wait. Finally the 2 pizzas we ordered arrived and I said thanks. We were really hungry by then, so we thought we’d just eat sitting on the chairs outside. We went back in to ask for napkins and she handed us 3 little napkins (for pizza! For 3 adults and 2 kids!). Anyway we ate a couple of slices and saw someone pick up another takeout order, carrying pizza boxes along with paper plates provided to them. We had been as nice as we could be, patient, and wanting to go along with whatever the restaurant process was. Sadly, they took pains at the restaurant to tell us over and over that we weren’t welcome there and to embarrass me as if I’m the stupid one. The pizza was good, but after how they treated me, it didn’t taste...
Read moreVery disappointed with the service. the place looked promising, interesting design and vibe. That being said it was very dirty, there were no napkins in the dispensers, the table was disgusting and after waiting 5 minutes with no body addressing us, we asked for the disgusting table to be cleaned which was done begrudgingly by a woman who gave us a scowl. Very unfriendly and rude in such a small and quaint town. Seemed very understaffed with only one woman serving the whole establishment, rushing in-between tables with no time to clean or take peoples orders, visually disgruntled as the place was rather busy. While I understand her frustration, the rude behavior was not necessary. This is definitely not the fault of the server, but the management. That being said the pizza was very good and tasty, and was brought out very quickly. The food was great despite...
Read moreI went to this incredible pizza place when I was a student at the Boston University Tanglewood Institute and boy was I absolutely amazed at their quality of food and the vibe of the place! It was a 15 minute walk from the main campus there in Lenox and I went there several times with friends and each time was just awesome! They had one with chicken, onions and barbecue and to this day, I’m still searching for a pizza that has exquisite taste of barbecue sauce on a pizza. Who knows? Maybe I’ll be a violin coach at the Tanglewood workshop and splurge on some of their great pizza again one day. And I can’t forget about their awesome subs and burritos, splendid and so tasty, even spicy yet in really good taste! So if you’re attending the festival at the fairgrounds or just passing through from Stockbridge, head over to Betty’s, it’s guaranteed to...
