Read moreMy wife & I decided to visit this location because a coworker told her about this place. We walked in and we were a little confused about the order at the door before you sit concept. There was one lady at the cash register and she told us" she'll be with us in a few minute." So we waited until the couple in front of us finished ordering.
Finally, we were next to order, but we were not sure what to get. My wife asked" are we supposed to order before we sit?"
The lady replied," Yes!"
We felt a bit rushed since it was our first time here. So, I order fried fish with shrimp & fries. My wife ordered the blackened cod with salad on the side. Plus, the two alcoholic drinks since it was happy hour. Then a number was handed to us..
Next: We walked to a table of our liking, but our table was dirty. We cleaned it then sat down in a booth.
Our order finally arrives, but there was some discrepancy in what we wanted. Nevertheless, they took care it and brought what we wanted to the table.
(It appears to be little chaotic with the ladies that are designated to bring out orders. They were walking around aimlessly looking for the tables that ordered a certain dish. The food is exposed to the air as they walk around. I don't under why they didn't number the tables, and escort the patrons to a numbered table. This would really help them. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure that out😒)
We started eating the dishes that we ordered. I was happy with my fried fish, but wife didn't care for her blackened Cod. She wished she wasn't rushed to order; because, if she had time; she would have ordered the fried whole fish.
This place was not bad, but it was just a little unorganized.
We will be back to give it a second...
Read moreThis place was highly recommended by some relatives that I will NEVER trust again. Okay maybe sometimes. I was skeptical to try because my favorite place in the entire world for seafood (Aw Shucks) is just accross the freeway nothing could ever be better so I thought. - and I was right.
Okay so we walk in and it’s immediate immediate sensory overload!! The menu is too much , the noise level is impossible. I couldn’t hear myself think. The girl taking my order was asking me something but I could not hear her. It was too loud. You order at the counter, they hand you a number and then they bring out your order. I quickly did a scan to find the most far away spot from the noise in their patio area that is actually indoor. The AC was nice but the silence wasn’t muffled for long as the ladies cleaning the tables walked in and left the doors wide open.
I ordered a frozen Paloma. They just poured it in a cup- no rim. The Paloma was okay. It tasted a little strong but I guess that is personal preference. The food didn’t take long to arrive. One by one.
I ordered the shrimp boil spicy with corn and sausage and some grilled oysters.
The shrimp boil was very oily. It looked like it was seasoned bud didn’t deliver in heat. The shrimp were overcooked. The shrimp will tell you a lot about the quality of the food. They were large but too chewy. The grilled oysters were okay. Nothing stood out in terms of flavor. I tried the steak fries they are cooked well and unseasoned accompanied by a tartar sauce but the tartar sauce was too thin and...
