WARNING TO SMOOTHIE KING LOVERS; AVOID THIS LOCATION.
Today's experience in this location was the worst experience I've had in any Smoothie King in the DFW. Usually — AT OTHER LOCATIONS I've been to — it's just slightly slow service, or accidental mix in of something I didn't want... I ALWAYS order a 32oz Strawberry+Mango+Pineapple smoothie with nothing else in it with little to no issue at any other location. I order, pay, they make it, I leave happy.
Today, the service was so bad. I get having only two employees working may slow the wait time down drastically. But, when you have customers making special orders and you can't make ANY accommodations that your customers in line are walking out before paying, there's a HUGE problem.. Someone ahead of me wanted to add honey to their smoothie. I've ordered for others in the past, adding honey to smoothies; the employees of all other locations I've visited do it, no problem. The ladies working today refused to work with the customer and they walked out. Another person walked in after me, and left before I did because the wait was unbearably long. I was inside the location for 20 minutes before I even ordered! There were only 9 customers inside (myself included) after 3 walked out. Nearly half an hour for 9 customers — some of which were in groups?! I've seen other locations slam out upwards of 45 customers in and out of the door in 20 minutes with the same amount of blenders (4) and the same number of employees (2) working behind the counter, all while accommodating customers needs and special orders, even due to allergies or other issues(sensory problems, etc.)... Those guys always get a tip from me for working hard and always helping the customers!
One of the ladies behind the counter asked the other one questions pertaining to every single order made during the entirety of my visit. The other one didn't even seem knowledgeable enough to help her, so they both (with the other one's "leadership") declined any specific orders that weren't on the menu.
With my order, I requested my usual 32oz Strawberry+Mango+Pineapple smoothie. The less knowledgeable employee asked the other one something (I couldn't really understand, as I'm sure they were speaking in Hindi,) then turned back to me and said I couldn't order that, but could get a Pure Recharge Mango+Strawberry smoothie which comes with gritty caffeine powder or something. She then ALSO asked if I wanted any Enhancer. I stated NO. I don't want anything but the fruit I requested as a smoothie. They made it anyway their way. I didn't know this, but paid for my smoothie and left. I did also mention my banana allergy, they can have the credit for caring about people's allergies.
Upon leaving and taking a first couple of sips, I could feel gritty powder in my smoothie which completely destroyed my desire to even finish the smoothie. $10 wasted on something I DID NOT WANT. Not to mention, I have a major health issue with consuming caffeine in any fashion. How hard is it to make the customers order correctly? I have spent the last few hours dealing with elevated stress levels and mild anxiety just trying to enjoy spending time with my family for this Mother's day. I never have this kind of problem during family gatherings. Everyone could tell something was wrong with me today.
I truly hope the owner of this location finds better employees and treats their customers with respect by doing so. I feel bad for all the other customers who had an awful experience at this location...

The lead sales person in charge said she would take it, but treated me as if I was giving her a food stamp card instead of a manufactured coupon. When I went to check out the manager taking my money continued to make comments about how I am wrong even after paying 8.00 for a second drink. I then asked for my money, they followed my 9yr old son to the car and asked for the free coupon drink back. I gave it to them, then looked at my receipt and realized the manager had shorted changed my refund. I am appalled at their actions and petty behavior. I get the same thing every time from now pretty much this same store-20 oz angel food and wanted to use a reward. Scans and thought the price was close but was handed a kids drink? I said what is this? “It’s a 12 oz, you ordered it.” “No I get the same thing every time.” Now the manager walks over and says “no you said 12 I heard it.” To which I said “ I didn’t even know you could get a 12 oz so how is it possible? It’s not on the menu by the normal smoothies” “sir, you ordered that and we can do a 20 oz.” And said over. It was like 2 on on. I walked out and was amazed all over 8 ounces?
