*****New Post***** Last week Mom wanted lunch at Cheddars. They have great lunch deals and I literally dream about those onion rings. She always enjoys the Fried Chicken Sandwich, plus gets extra toppings. We cut it in half and she gets a couple of meals out of it. I just get a Kids Grilled Cheese and I love the Side Salads here. This is also a favorite of hers cuz she likes to order extra meals to go to feed her and my dad for a couple days. The main reason for this post however was our awesome server Tesia. Mom goes from being undecided to adamant with her requests and Tesia was extremely patient and kind. She checked back often and did everything she could to make Mom happy. It did not go unnoticed! ❤️ Updated rating to 4 stars overall and 4 for Food and 5 for Service! ***************************************** I haven't been to Cheddars in awhile but since they recently brought back their Onion Rings it became a priority. First on a weekend with the fam. Rings were amazing but seemed to be missing a few. Kids loved the Cheese Curds, way too greasy for me. One loved his burger, other said too much pepper on the Grilled Chicken. Husband loves the tenders but said the chicken was so salty it was almost inedible. I thought I was ordering the fish & chips but I guess the dinner menu is different. Cornmeal fish was just okay. Everyone loved the fries. Server forgot to bring out birthday dessert otherwise did fine. Later in the week my mom wanted to go to lunch. Another round of onion rings. Right amount this time but sooooo greasy. Yummy salad and grilled cheese. Mom loved her chicken sandwich and ordered more food to go. I'll be back for more Rings cuz they're one of my favorites. Hopefully drained well 🤞. Love the salad and croissants. Everything else is up for debate...

What a great place! There tag line is "Get a lot. For not a lot." and it is very true to say the least. There food is very pleasing to the senses. Their complimentary honey butter croissant was a real treat and a welcome departure from the standard dinner rolls. I ordered the New Orleans Pasta and was not disappointed in it's appearance and taste, although I did notice an absence of the sausage that is supposed to be in the ingredients. It did not ruin my experience though I did point this out to our waitress. She said she would advise the kitchen staff. The appetizer of Wisconsin Cheese bites was another great addition to our meal. Paired with the home-made ranch dip, it was perfect. Finally, I ordered their signature Pain Killer. If you like Pina Colada's that are amped up, this is a great choice. Makes sense as to why they limit you to only 2 per person. Carries quit a nice kick. I will definitely be going back there. The fact that we cam home with leftovers is testament to their slogan.

It was a cold and misty evening, so comfort food was ideal. Cheddar's did not disappoint. The parking lot was crowded, as was the restaurant, but we were seated with no waiting. The cheese bites made an excellent appetizer, not too greasy or salty. My husband had the grilled fish with mashed potatoes and corn, and I went for total comfort food with the Country Fried Chicken (single portion) with house salad and broccoli casserole. Both were well cooked. The chicken breast was juicy. Our waiter was personable and honest in his recommendations when asked. Management made the rounds to talk to customers even during peak hours. We arrived a little after 6pm. This was our second visit within the last 6 months, and each time the food and service were refreshing. It's nice to dine at a place that understands service is just as important as the quality of the food.

First of all Cheddars has been our favorite family restaurant since I can remember. Always been great food and service and have always done our birthdays there. With that being said, tonight was absolutely awful. Had our party split between 4 booths. When we asked the waitress if we should sit together by tickets she said no, she had a “way” of working it all out. I’ve waited tables all my life so when she said that I said we will let you know who is with who so she could split the ticket up by orders correctly when she typed it in to try to make it easier. Got all of our food, mind you there were 4 full booths and she never once pre bussed the tables unless we forced the dirty plates in her hand to make room. Finished up eating and was wondering what was taking so long for our ticket. Waited and waited. 45 mins later I finally asked her if I could help her do her job. She printed me off the whole ticket and we took scratch paper to separate all the orders for her so she could just retype them in and void original ticket. 30 more minutes still no ticket. I then said how long it had been and we all have kids to put to bed so after an hour and a half wait for just our tickets to pay I finally asked for the manager. He then proceeded to come out and yell at me telling me it was all our fault for “sitting in 20 different spots” which we addressed right away when we got there and the waitress told us she had a “system”. Rude inconsiderate and bad customer service hands down. I’m disappointed, and upset. Birthday party was ruined and I know a lot of people never coming back. Will be finding a new family restaurant and calling corporate because I’m just not letting this one go. What happens Cheddars? We will miss the past good food and service, maybe you should try to go back to the way things used to be, like kind employees that know how to do their job and run...

Ate there today, 5.9.21, Mother's Day. Two families, party of ten seated at 2:33pm after a 40 min wait. No problem there. Wait staff was slow, so we ordered drinks and food at the same time, 2:50pm on the nose. We had to ask after receiving our appetizer to get the bread they should have already brought out. Food arrived at exactly 3:55pm. I ordered a med rare steak but got a well done steak. Absolutely no pink and dry meat. That's well done. No flavor to the steak. This matters because they were out of steak sauce! No worcheshire, 57, or A1! I told the waitress there is a Hy-Vee one block down, how the hell do you run out! I didn't bother with a new steak as its usually not worth waiting again. My daughter didn't get her side bowl of potato soup. Just had them remove that. To top all that off, we had issues with the Ziosk unit. It wouldn't read our chip cards correctly, so we called the manager out. He mistakenly charged my card to the other ticket. I told him to just do it the old way and gave him my card and my sister gave the waitress hers, both with the correct receipts. The waitress comes back with my receipt and her card, charged accordingly. She then had to go back and straighten that out. Needless to say, it was a disaster all around. Sister lives in Omaha and swears the Cheddars up there is wonderful. We will have to check it out with the gift cards we were given because I don't see going back to this Cheddars for some time. The food wasn't too bad, but it's never been great with one exception, the potato soup is very good. We have never understood what people see in this place other than a nice...
