Dunkin' — Restaurant in Lincoln

This past Friday, long wait at the ordering box without acknowledging me, even to say, I'll be right with you. The car in front of me had the same issue and had resorted to honking. I waited patiently and my order was taken, which took forever because they couldn't find the correct keys to enter the items and said so. Said no one showed them where the items were on the cash register. At last, success! When I arrived at the window the food and drinks were done correctly. I paid and tipped and wrote it off to new workers. I wouldve scored that a 3 star, all in all. Saturday afternoon I tried them again. Same thing. No acknowledgment, long wait. When I finally tried to order I was told that they weren't making any food because they were short staffed. I questioned this, nicely. I'm not a Karen..let me explain...I worked at another Dunkin for years as a second job. Trained many many young people. Once worked a Fourth of July when it was 99 degrees, myself and another person instead of the 6 or 7 needed. The second person decided to quit mid shift and walked out on me and the ice machine couldn't produce enough ice on a holiday weekend in extreme heat. I had to call the owner to bring me huge bags of ice 2x! I ran that place by myself and I did not shut food down! I asked the worker if the manager authorized that or if the owner did. He had no answer. He said we did it. This kid couldve lied and said the machine was down, even, but he just decided he wasnt making food. Then I asked him why no one acknowledges customers even if they cant be helped immediately...again no answer. Didnt seem like he had any answers. I realize most places are short staffed and wait times are longer. Not a problem, but the staff that is there should be adequately trained., which seemed to be a problem with the previous visit, also. The second experience rates 1 star, as...

I enjoy this location the most out of the many in my area. It is a locally owned franchise (yay!) and the service has always been efficient. Most of the employees are friendly, although there have been times when someone is having an off day. I wouldn't recommend going here if you want a lengthy convo with staff, but if you want a cheery smile to brighten your day, this is your place!

My order has never been messed up (low bar, I know) and it always comes out delicious (small iced/hot original blend made black)! I've occasionally tried flavors like caramel or french vanilla, but they taste chemically. That's not an issue with this store, it's just how Dunkin' flavor shots taste in general. I do love the Toasted Almond flavor shot, and would highly recommend it! It has a little bit of sweetness, but it's not overpowering, and it very much resembles actual almonds. I like to pair it with almond milk and sugar when I'm in the mood for something sweeter than black coffee.

The pastries such as muffins, coffee rolls, and munchkins have always been fantastic. I also enjoy the egg and cheese breakfast sandwich. I've never had anything with meat in it, but the beyond sausage patties are delicious!

The only thing that I absolutely do not like is when I've seen employees with their masks under their noses. I've noticed it here once or twice, but it's not uncommon in the general public anyway. Covid safety is a concern of mine and I'm hypervigilant about noticing these things.

i had to change my review. i had a horrific experence on 08/30/2018 aprox 11am, came in so i can have a bussiness meeting with my CEO of my company, so we can enjoy there wifi good conversation and great coffee, well lets say it didnt end up to be that way. i was EMBARRASED. first of all. when i came in there was a line with 4 other people infront of me, which is okay understandable however not one person taking the orders the people who were in drivethru were laughing and joking with eachother, no sense of urgency when they seen a line out the door. and i made myself clear i am very particular on my coffee, and my breakfast sandwich and the order taker smirks and goes "okay whatever" then makes me wait to the side about 3 or 4 minutes JUST FOR MY COFFEE .. that they made wrong. i came up again to have my coffee corrected. her response was epic,- its not a big deal. ill make you another coffee calm down. that really grinded my gears. no sense of urgency. is this the BRAND you want for this Dunkin Donuts. my CEO and myself threw away our coffees and sandwiches and ended up going to the dunkin donuts in CENTRAL FALLS. and had a better experence there.

Overall moral of the story is dont go here. they dont care, they hire children who go in there to make friends not a paycheck.
