McKinneys Irish Pub in Lincoln, Nebraska, was a fantastic find after a grueling 15-hour drive from Atlanta. As someone who loves exploring Irish pubs in every new city, I was thrilled to stumble upon this gem. The moment I walked in, I was greeted by a friendly bartender who could tell I was exhausted. She immediately served me a refreshing beer and a shot of Jameson, which was the perfect way to start unwinding. The pub has a cozy and authentic atmosphere, making it feel like a little piece of Ireland in Nebraska. I ordered a burger, and it was nothing short of phenomenal—juicy, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. The menu offered a great variety of pub classics and Irish dishes, so there's something for everyone. The staff was attentive and friendly, making me feel right at home. The lively yet relaxed vibe made it easy to strike up conversations with other patrons, which added to the overall experience. McKinneys Irish Pub provided the perfect setting to relax and recharge after a long journey. If I'm ever back in Lincoln, this pub will definitely be at the top of my list. It's not just a place for great food and drinks but also for genuine hospitality and a true Irish pub experience. Highly recommended!

Was in the area and wanted to try a new restaurant while catching up with my best friend. As we walked by we saw the menu and thought it looked really good. We did outdoor dining as it was pretty warm outside that day and they had the heated lantern going. Waitress was nice. I cannot remember he name but she had medium length brunette hair. We had spinach dip as a appetizer and it was great for our meals we had a mac and cheese and a sandwich (forgot what kind she ordered) and then drinks were disaronno ginger ale and a flavored moscow mule. Everything tasted great! I would recommend do anyone in the area.

Amazing Irish pub, Morgan was a wonderful server and truly went above and beyond for my friends and I. Bartenders obviously know what they’re doing and are doing it great. Food isn’t out of this world but it’s good bar food. I know they work hard back there and I haven’t had anything yet that I didn’t like. Great deals with drinks and I’m glad my friend made me go. Lots of fun and will definitely go back / recommend to friends.

Disappointing First Visit – Wouldn’t Recommend

We came to Lincoln to move our daughter into UNL and decided to try this restaurant since it was close to our hotel. Unfortunately, what looked promising turned into a frustrating experience.

We stood at the entrance for several minutes before being acknowledged. Once seated, our waitress took our drink order—two teas and a Coke—but never mentioned that refills would be charged. We ordered three burgers and an appetizer, then waited over 45 minutes for the food to arrive.

During that time, we received drink refills without any warning of extra charges. I also witnessed a staff member behind the bar inspecting a burger and touching it with bare hands before it was served. When the food finally came, one burger was missing mushrooms, another had BBQ sauce on it despite our request for it on the side, and the appetizer arrived late.

The waitress did apologize and offered either a dessert or 10% off, which we appreciated. But when the bill came, we were surprised to see charges for every drink refill. We were told this was standard procedure—even though we saw the waitress prepare some of them herself.

As first-time guests, we felt misled and taken advantage of. If refills aren’t complimentary, that should be made clear upfront. Disappointing all around. Won't be able...

This was my first time getting food from this place using GrubHub and I'm very disappointed with the food i received. I ordered the corned beef and cabbage and the Irish stew and it was the worst Irish food I've ever had. The corned beef was dry and the cabbage was raw. The stew was sour. I couldn't eat anything but spent over $40. I called the next day and left a message for the owner to express my concerns but got his voicemail. I left a message and still no call back to this day. I don't know how this place is still open with such horrible food. As for the owner response. You're telling me the GrubHub driver made the cabbage raw and the meat dry? Take some ownership your staff made terrible food and sent it off to me. Further more your staff took my address down the next day and promised to send a coupon to me and still nothing to this day. I don't need to give you my address again. I will never eat there again so save your coupon, you need it...
