I placed a takeout order today for Lamb Shank over rice, it had a side of tasty hummus(it had a spice oil mixed in that made the hummus tasty) & a side salad with dressing. The young gentleman behind the counter took my call in order and was friendly and professional on the phone. The same young man put my order together and was very friendly. Enjoyed the food at home, quite tasty. I never realized all this time that this tiny restaurant was next to the Phillips Gas Station on the east side of North 17th street. Since moving to the area, I have been searching for a decent Middle Eastern restaurant. Safaa exceeded all of my expectations. I ordered the falafel with dolmas and baba ganoush. Everything here is made fresh, in house.
