I was very uncomfortable going in because there were some people who appeared to be homeless or high on drugs passed out near the entrance. But, from what I saw as I drove around looking for a parking spot, this appears to be common all around this area of Lincoln.
The atmosphere inside the establishment was non-existent. You order at the counter from the limited items on the assembly line (think Subway, Qdoba, or Chipotle with far fewer options), and take your food to go or take it to one of the tables of your choosing.
There was one guy working there & he was very helpful, as this was my first time eating here or eating this kind of food.
You do get a lot of food, and it was tasty, but it gave me diarrhea & extreme acid reflux.
I was originally planning on eating inside; however, even after paying for parking (which is required in this area), I just wanted to get out of there and that area, so I left & drove somewhere I felt safer & more comfortable and ate in my vehicle.
I don't plan on going back to this eatery, nor any eatery in this area of Lincoln.
I'm originally from Southern Californian, but I moved to the rural Midwest 20 years ago. I love to explore & experience the different dining options offered in the bigger cities when the need arises for me to travel. I feel bad for the street people, but Lincoln really needs to do better. The city looks like a miniature Skid Row in Los Angeles, California. I felt just gross being there. I feel sorry for the establishments in the area because this can't be good...
Read moreAnother Bourbon Show 🤘🤘🤘 we wanted to park and eat within walking distance. My husband's eyes light up when I mention Gyros! It's been a minute since we've eaten at Sultan's Kite.
He got the Hot & Spicy Gyro on a Pita. All the toppings and the spicy Green Taziki (of course). He said it was Delicious and Loved every bite! I ordered Falafel on a Pita. I am never like Yay Falafel! but it's the primary meatless option at Gyro restaurants. The bonus thing at this place is they have Olives!!! I can't do raw tomatoes or onions so I'm usually left with just lettuce on top 😕. They hooked up the toppings I Did want and there was enough Falafel to make a whole other sandwich!
We shared some yummy Fries. I love that seasoning and asked for extra. The two young ladies working were very patient and kind while we stumbled through our order. Great portions and Great service!

Read moreI really don't like to critique local restaurants, but I was genuinely super sad to see the quality of this restaurant (or at least this location) go so far downhill 🙁. No meat on either rotisserie which seemed weird since closing time was so far off, the meat from the steam table was not shaved off a spit but instead hacked into gray cubes, lettuce was visibly browned and near-spoiled, tomatoes were unripe, bread was stale to the touch. Customer service was weirdly dismissive and unfriendly. Even the pop from the tap tasted salty and weird, as if the taps have not been cleaned. This used to be one of my favorite restaurants in town, as the attached review shows. I'm just really bummed out by such a marked decline in quality, and I hope it's a one-off, but I don't think I want to go here anymore. Seems like a lot of very easy fixes that are being overlooked because nobody...
