We walked in the restaurant and the staff weren’t obviously staring or commenting about my large service dog. It’s nice to not be the center of attention when walking in. It was seat yourself and we decided to enjoy lunch on the patio. It was spacious and it was great to be able to come and go directly from the patio without having to go back inside. The person assigned to our table gave us time to settle in before showing up with menus, which is nice when settling my dog in. I saw the staff do the same with parents who came in with young children so they could get the kids set up before having to juggle menus too. When she showed up with menus she was very professional, appeared happy to be working there and we were the center of her attention when she was there. She didn’t waste any time getting the generously sized drinks out and helped people at the table make decisions about their food choices. When she brought the food out she knew what went where and acted like there wasn’t even a service dog there. I can’t tell you how nice it is to be recognized as a person and not a person with a service dog. We had a variety of soups, salads and sandwiches at the table. Everything came out in baskets lined with paper. The first thing we noticed was how nice the food looked and everyone commented about how good it was. As the meal went on the wind picked up a bit when the food in the baskets was just about gone. I was pleasantly surprised to find the baskets weren’t the cheap plastic ones so many restaurants use. They had enough weight to them so we didn’t have to worry about baskets blowing over and dumping our food out. When we had finished she was right there to pick up baskets, offer more drinks and was happy to get someone a to go cup. She brought the check back and was aware of the wind and offered to take my card right then so we didn’t have to worry about keeping track of everything in the wind. It was a great experience and we always felt like we were the center of Mirabella P’s attention even though she was very busy. We will definitely find ourselves here again for drinks or food whenever we are in...
Read morePLEASE READ! This evening, I went Bison Witches Lincolnn Witches in Lincoln to enjoy their amazing chicken nachos. Since I haven't been there in a long time, I thought I would treat myself. I wasn't sure if anything had changed, but I remember that the practice there is to seat yourself. As I sat at a booth behind another couple, I waited for service. I looked over the menu and glanced around at the other patrons. After about 6-7 minutes, I noticed that nobody had come to my table. Finally, a waitress appeared about 2 minutes later. I kid you not, this young blonde lady glanced at me but then proceeded to check on another table, which seemed to be fine. After that, she walked over to the table behind me, which had just arrived, and took their order. Now I'm feeling irritated. After she finished with the couple at the next table, she turned and walked away. 🤯 I was shocked, and my heart was pounding. I sat there for another five minutes, hoping that maybe I was mistaken and she wasn't my waitress after all. Then, I saw another waitress and thought, “This must be my waitress.” However, she went to the table in front of me instead. Then she looks at me, turns around, and walks back down to the bar area. Now I'm heated and ready to "crash out," but I don't. I just sit there watching them go everywhere but to me. What makes it even worse is that the blonde girl looks at me from the bar area and then turns away as if I were invisible. Now I’ve been sitting here for about 15-20 minutes, trying to understand why this is happening. I’m a server, and yes, we make mistakes, but this doesn't feel like a mistake.I went to the bar and asked the bartender if I was sitting in the wrong booth because no one had given me service. She asked where I was sitting and said she would send someone to me, but I declined and explained that it was unacceptable. Honestly, I was heartbroken to receive no service at a place I’ve been visiting since 2012. It hurt. I may be just one person, but they will never receive my...
Read moreDo not recommend. Cooks are vindictive jerks. Asked for no cheese (lactose intolerant), they ignored the request. Loadly stated that I could not eat it, ignored by waiter, had to physically take my food to the waiter and explain the problem. Cooks, instead of fixing the problem, decided double down and teach me a lesson by removing the lettuce from my sandwich and putting cheese on my soup.
I've worked in restaurants and know this message too well; "you'll eat it the way I make it". Could've sent it back again but that's when they start adding ingedients that will send you to the hospital. DON'T TRUST COOKS LIKE THIS...EVER!!!
Will NEVER be back as long as they keep hiring people who disregard peoples food allergies as trivial requests.
RESPONSE TO BRANDON: Please reread what ocured. I HAVE eaten there before, the chili did not come with cheese then nor initially when I received the food. Also, they removed the lettuce and put almost no mayo on the sandwich. I TOLD the waiter that I was lactose intolerant. This was undoubtedly an act of retaliation and your flippant response to this issue coupled with the insinuation that I'm a liar proves why they believe they can do this to people and get away with it. This reaffirms my statement that people with allergies, et cetera, should avoid you...
