I wanted to like this place because they are a smidge cheaper than their multiple competitors all within shouting distance but... there are some pretty good reasons why they're less expensive. Keep in mind I can only go late and the owner who closes really just wants to get the heck out of there at the end of the day.
With the rave reviews others are posting I can only assume the owner who opens takes more pride in his product quality and doesn't let it slip when it's time to go home.
At the end of the day their qyros are the only thing worth buying if you don't mind soggy tomatoes and a little rust on the lettuce. Avoid the top of the menu. If you don't expect dry tasteless chicken in smaller portions in obviously watered down equally tasteless sauces. Both the curry and the korma were almost inedible by 9pm and needed to be jazzed up before you can choke them down. The korma I ended up mixing with a competitors down the street to avoid just throwing it in the trash.
I suspect they serve the same product made in the morning for lunch all day. Normally I would like that because who doesn't love a thick curry or marsala? Thats not what you get here. They just keep adding water all day to keep it rehydrated as many times as needed to stretch it out till the end of the day. That's for both the Tikka Korma and Curry Chicken which I absolutely can't recommend. Based on the pictures of others I was served half portions too! My two full portions together would look exactly like the picture of a pick two combo someone else posted.
Running out of key ingredients like rice well before close seems to be normal too. Just making more is apparantly not in that partner's job description and completely out of the question for him. He isn't above deliberately substituting things he's out of either. He gave me plain naan for the garlic even though I talked about how excited I was to try his "garlic" naan out loud multiple times while he was making the plain naan right in front of me. So...

If I could give Pita and Naan six stars, I would. This local treasure delivers the kind of experience that reminds you why family-run restaurants are the heart of a community.
Let’s talk about the chicken shawarma. Served on a bed of fluffy white rice with crisp, golden potato slices and a vibrant side salad, it’s a plate that looks humble but tastes incredible. The shawarma itself is tender and perfectly marinated, bursting with warm, smoky spices. And that tzatziki sauce? Unreal. Creamy, garlicky, and fresh—easily one of the best I’ve had. It ties the entire dish together with a cooling finish that complements the richness of the chicken and potatoes.
And just when I thought it couldn’t get any better... enter the baklava cheesecake. Yes, you read that right. A buttery, nutty, honey-kissed baklava layered with silky cheesecake—it's the kind of dessert that makes you stop mid-bite, close your eyes, and just savor. A genius fusion that deserves to be famous.
But what truly stole my heart was the customer service. This is a family operation in every sense of the word. From the warm welcome at the door to the thoughtful check-ins throughout the meal, you’re treated not just as a customer, but as a guest in their home. Kindness, pride, and love radiate from every staff member.
Pita and Naan is what every neighborhood needs: unforgettable food, heartfelt hospitality, and a sense of community you’ll crave just as much as...
Read moreI never post reviews but have to for this place. A coworker and I dined here last Friday, not really knowing what to expect. I ordered the falafel wrap plate and my coworker ordered the chicken tikka korma. We both scarfed down our plates in no time.
The falafel - perfectly crispy on the outside and soft and pillowy on the inside.
The chicken tikka korma - perfectly seasoned (could have used a touch more spice for our liking, but we understand that most probably don't want to burn off their taste buds...)
Today, we decided to go back and try some more. My coworker ordered the chicken shawarma. I told the dude to pick for me. It all looked good and I have no dietary restrictions, so why not? He chose the yellow curry chicken. I had to add in their spicy chutney, too!
I didn't get to try the chicken shawarma (I'm getting that next time, though - but spicy) but the yellow curry chicken is a 10/10. Maybe even an 11/10? It's perfect. Paired with that chili chutney and the rice, it's so good. So, so good.
And listen, for anyone out there thinking, "wE aLrEaDy HaVe GyRo PlAcEs DoWnToWn," this isn't a gyro place! Sure, they sell 'em (because they're delicious), but, it's the variety for me. You want a little Mediterranean style? Sweet. How about a little Indian style? Awesome! Wait, what's that? Afghani, too? Dope. Where else can you get shawarma, lentil dahl, and bolani?
Oh, that's another thing - bolani: if you don't already know, look it up. And then get ya some....
