Atmosphere and Appearance: Vincenzo's is a calm place to dine. The area is open and a pleasant background music will be present. The area is well lit. So there is no need to squint to read the menu. The restaurant is clean from tables to the bathrooms.
Service: The service at Vincenzo's was good. Our waiter was very kind and considerate of us. He always greeted us with a smile. Regular, frequent checks were the usual from what I could see at all the tables. The welcome desk was a bit crowded. We were given somewhat perplexed looks by the staff with little smiles when my wife and I entered and asked for a table for two.
Food and Beverages: The menu options listed are perfect. The menu size is not overwhelming, and the fun is playful yet easy to read. My wife and I were both underwhelmed by our dishes, however. Our appetizer was loaded with cheese. We enjoy cheese like most Americans, but this was too much. We even had trouble cutting the cheese with our knives. Additionally, the pasta dish my wife ordered was very, very cheesy. The cheese overwhelmed all other aspects of the dish. My veal dish was more chewy than I was expecting from my past experiences with veal. It was more of a veal chop. The side salads were also not impressive with the presentation. Side salads are not such a big deal, but they become a big deal when the price of a meal is so high. The positive side of the meal was the bread. The bread was delivered warm with a soft, fluffy inside and a crispy texture on the outside. The bread was delicious when dipped in olive oil with a bit of Parmesan cheese and pepper. The wine selection was also phenomenal. Many good wines to choose from.
Price: The price was too high for the quality of the meal. The wine selection was reasonable with the prices offered, but the food was too underwhelming to pay as much as my wife and I did for our meal. An app, 2 glasses of wine, 2 entrees for nearly $80 (tip included in the price).
Summary: The rating of 4.x stars on Google is deceiving. The atmosphere is relaxed. TVincenzo's is great if you want to sample a few wines with friends. However, the food does not impress for the price you will pay. Consider another Italian restaurant in the Lincoln area if you want to save money and enjoy a...
Read moreThe food is good here but the management of the place needs to put some order into play. There were 3 hostesses that were playing on their phone and they kept grouping up to talk to each other instead of being attentive to customers. They sat people but in the down time when they could help the servers or do something to help get customers food to the table, clear off the table or sometjing to get people in and out they didn't. It took about 30 minutes for a table which wasnt bad but then another 20 minutes to get simply get our drink ordered. Then another 10 to receive our drinks which mine was suppose to be chilled and it was warm.
When the server came back to take our actual order she said "oh the appetizer you ordered is done I have to go back and get it" after she took our order. Which made me wonder why she didnt just bring it if she knew it was done. The server we had was polite but not very attentive or speedy with anything. Then when we got our food the vegetables that we recieved weren't even Luke warm. I assumed it was because the server just left the food sit like she did with the appetizer. I didnt want to send it back since she took forever every time we asked for something
I also didn't order a second drink because of how long it took for the first drink. I think more order and direction is needed for a better success. I will put this on my not coming back list because of the service of the hostess and the wait to even get a drink.
When we went to pay our bill it took another 20 minutes to get our payment processed.
All in all decent food but not worth the service,...

I told my husband I was feeling pizza so he could either choose an actual pizza joint or an Italian place that serves it so he could have his beloved pasta. Went with one of his favorites, Vincenzo's!
He's always loved the Meatballs here. Ordered the appetizer but they come out chopped up and a bit on the dry side. Still loves the flavor on the balls just really lacking in sauce. We got the Spinazola to share. A kind of Spinach Dip, yummy but heavy on the red chili flakes so definitely more for him. Great side salads, the House Vinaigrette is delicious!
My husband ordered a dish he's never had, the Salsiccia and Peppers. He was excited to find a Spicy Sausage entree! Loved almost everything about it just wished it wasn't whole links. He said had it been sliced or even butterflied with char and caramelization it would have been Exponentially improved upon.
I have never seen anyone order a Pizza here before and now I'm pretty sure I know why. Had it not been for the Signature Smoky Provel Cheese layered across it I would have sworn I was served a frozen soggy cardboard pizza. I ate one small square and took the rest home. The little dude, who LOVES cheese pizza, had some words that were Extremely unflattering as well.
One thing they have Nailed is their cocktails. I got a favorite, the Cucumber Cooler. My husband treated himself to an Espresso Martini! Our server Sam had A Lot of patrons to look after but remained attentive. I think I'll have to be on the lookout for a weekly special more catered to my liking in the future!
