I have been coming to the Starbucks on Eldorado for over two years. It’s usually a pleasure, super nice staff.
Today I ordered a venti drink with no ice as I usually order all my drinks with no ice because I do not like a super cold drinks.
When I walked in my venti, drink was filled to the third line, no where near a full cup. I nicely asked the barista to fill my drink up to the top as I paid for a venti. She then said I paid for a venti pour, I said okay I paid for a venti size and that’s not venti.
She corrected me and said you paid for a venti pour, and that I just asked for a venti with no ice. I explained that I have came here for years and always get no ice and I have never had a drink that wasn’t filled to the top. (I never ask for an extra cup of ice). I said so now it’s by the pour not the size cup you pay for. I am not a coffee guru so pour vs cup size maybe something I am unaware of.
The barista said that’s what her manager said and that I need to talk to him, the manager wasn’t there.I then asked was this due to tik tok and people ordering venti drinks with ice on the side? She said probably but it’s what her manager said so I need to talk to him.
I hope that everyone is being treated the same and if this is the new Starbucks size and pour rules then it should be communicated across the board.
The barista was irritated because I was asking questions about why the drink wasn’t full, I guess she felt I was the problem. Again, I have visited this Starbucks for years.
I’ve been in Human Resources for years, there is a way to communicate with customers so they know it’s a new change. The manager should be onsite to support the staff who have to deal with customers who will have a tough time with the change. I was nice...
Read moreI used the Starbucks app to place an order for 3 frappuccino drinks and 2 bakery items. I arrived at the exact time the app said my order would be ready and none of my order was ready. While waiting there, I saw there was one employee having a loud personal conversation with a customer and four other employees, two of whom appeared to be trainees. There did not appear to be a manager or even an adult employee present. All of the employees were children.
After waiting 10 more minutes and people coming in after me were getting their drinks, I went to the cashier and asked what's going on with my mobile order. The cashier said they were all out of the bakery items that the app said were in stock. I refused to accept an incomplete order and requested to cancel the entire order for a refund. It took 3 employees more than 10 minutes to figure out how to give a refund, and they could not figure it out and instead gave me a cash refund.
While waiting, I observed two customers returning their drinks which they said were made wrong and a third customer who also ordered the bakery items with the mobile app that the store did not really have. The customer behind me commented that 80% of his recent drink orders were incorrect.
The service at this store is unacceptable...
Read moreI came in today to get a couple coffees.
One shaken espresso for my wife. Light ice (to not dilute the coffee) and no cream or sweeteners (she adds her own)
There was one vehicle in line, it took a while to get through.
When I got my coffee, the order to add cream was corrected, but the coffee was overfilled. Instead of coffee being dumped out to make room for cream, it was filled to the brim.
That made a mess in my car. Hint: a stopper and lid isn't water tight, the pressure from picking up your coffee makes it spill, and hot liquids compromise the seal made with the lid. It's gentle slosh proof under ideal conditions, not water tight under over-full conditions.
I would have preferred one less swallow of coffee to cleaning up a mess.
After transferring the coffee into my Yeti at home, the bottom was full of grounds. Not something you'd expect from a professional coffee establishment.
I'll stick with the longer drive to crossroads, or hope the new Oak Point location trains with better...
