Fat Jaws Soul Food and Southern Eats — Restaurant in Little Rock

I love Fat Jaws!! The food is always wonderful. I'm going today!! Lol. So far I've had the pork chop, catfish, like a stir fry rice w/catfish. I really wanted breakfast but learned that they only serve breakfast on Saturday's now. my favorite sides are the yams (although they are really sweet) and the black eyed peas! I love the service and the personality of the atmosphere. This is a new business and I hope they grow and grow!

I gave 4 instead of 5 stars ONLY because I am a huge communicator and want to know what changes have taken place. If something is no longer on the menu let your customers know via website, social media, whatever platform you use. I was looking forward to trying something only to find out once I was placing my order that it wasn't available. I only get 30 mins for lunch so not much room to rebound to plan b.

This was the first restaurant my pop and I ate at during our first visit to Little Rock, and let me tell you, these folks KNOW how to cook. We split the Fat Omelette (E-NORMOUS) and some bacon and breakfast potatoes! The omelette absolutely slaps! The bacon was cooked perfectly, and the breakfast potatoes were fluffy and expertly seasoned with salt, pepper, and what appeared to be rosemary (maybe sage?)

Their purple juice beverage was sweet, tropical, and appealed to my Southern sensibilities!

The staff was delightful, and very friendly! The most fun part (other than eating this generous spread) was the fact that they give you fun celebrity names to call when your order is ready! We got Jason Momoa, which we found hilarious since we were visiting for Comic Con!

I can’t recommend this place...

DON’T WASTE YOUR TIME. Horrible service. We waited an hour and a half to get food along with everyone else in the restaurant. This is how we were greeted by the person behind the register: “hello. I don’t work here. I’m just a customer and it looks like he needs help. It’ll be about 45 min. Can I take your order?” We were stunned but decided to give the new place a chance. But it got worse. By the time the food finally came the order was all screwed up and it was mediocre at best. Certainly not worth the trouble. The owner should learn some customer relations skills. I saw him treat several understandably upset customers quite rudely when they inquired about the timing on their food. Just because someone can cook food doesn’t mean they can run a restaurant.
