Allow me to tell you about how this McDonald's strives to give the worst service possible. This morning, I order and pay through the mobile app, then go to their drive thru. At the first window, she confirms my order "Order for Stuart?" and confirm. All good so far. I pull up to the 2nd window and I am handed the wrong order. I tell her that's not my order and she asks me what my order was, I tell them it was a mobile order for Stuart and tell them the items I ordered. She asks me to pull up to the 1st drive thru parking position and they will get it out to me, which I do at 9:13. At 9:24, another McDonald's employee comes out in a yellow vest and asks me if I'm waiting for something. I tell her that I have been waiting for over 10 minutes for my order, a mobile order for Stuart. She said she will check on it and she goes inside. At 9:43 AM, I call this McDonald's location, not wanting to make a scene in the restaurant. Someone answers and I tell her I have been waiting for 30 minutes for my order, a mobile order for Stuart. She took a moment away from the phone to look for my order AND SHE COULDN'T FIND IT. I am staring at the receipt on my phone as she says this. She asks what the order is and that she will put it together and have someone bring it out to me. I tell her the order and say that I have been waiting for over 30 minutes, and that someone else came out 11 minutes after parking in the 1st drive thru parking spot asking for my order, telling me she will check on it and I didn't hear from her again. I also told her that this is the 3rd time I've had to tell a McDonald's employee the items I ordered. After hearing all this on the phone, the first thing she said to me is "Okay, perfect, so..." Then confirms the contents of my order. "PERFECT." Then someone ELSE (meaning I have talked to 5 different McDonald's employees today) came out with my order and she seemed confused about the whole situation. She asked what I ordered AND FOR THE 4TH TIME THIS MORNING, I HAD TO INFORM A MCDONALD'S EMPLOYEE ABOUT THE ITEMS I ORDERED. She said she was told to bring this to the person in the 1st drive thru parking position, and I said that's me. I looked through the bag and everything was in order, which I told her. She said "Oh okay, sorry for the wait." She was turning away to walk back inside as she said "sorry." It's like the folks at this McDonald's are too proud to apologize, are forgetful, and don't care in the slightest about service. No compensation for the wait, or the numerous mistakes.
So at this McDonald's location, you can expect the following: • Repeating your order to them multiple times. • Being handed the wrong order despite confirming your order seconds before. • Being utterly and completely forgotten about if you have to park in the drive thru waiting area. • Waiting for over 30 minutes, with a half-hearted after thought of an apology as compensation. • Have the whole experience summed up by a McDonald's employee...
Read moreWent through the slow drive thru Tues morning 5/8/18 the lady at the first window was a sweetheart, got to the second window & they didn't know what order I was, so I had to tell them what my order was. I pull off thinking I got my food right, especially since I had to tell them, pull it out to eat it & it's all wrong. I had to be in chemo clear across town at the hospital in less than 10 minutes but wanted what I ordered, because what I ended up with was a cheaper meal, so I wanted what I paid for. I go in & I tell her my order is wrong & I need to hurry because I have to be in chemotherapy now, the girl ask me for a reciept very rudely & snappy, I told her I went through the drive up, they didn't give me a reciept. I didn't say this next part, just thought it, the bag is from McDonald's with warm food in it, there's not another McDonald's for several miles, yeah I'm going to lie, to get some free food....HELLO..... I'd already waited in quite a long line to get my food. The girl was rolling her eyes, yelling, then threw the whole bag of food away which had other food in it that wasn't wrong, I'm like, wait, what are you doing? Now you have to remake my whole order, there was other food in that bag... She continued to roll her eyes & just behaved very unprofessionally, then finally handed me my bag & continued to talk about me right in front of me to another employee who asked "what was that all about?" As I was leaving. While there, I just stood there watching her in her tirade & was stunned by her behavior. The whole experience was rather humiliating. If I'd acted this way, or treated a customer the way she treated me, I'd have been fired. It seems like customer service doesn't mean anything anymore. I'll never go back to this location for the way I was treated. They messed up my order & treated me like it was my mistake, & I had no right to go back & ask for them to fix it. And they made me late for chemotherapy, which isn't too fun to go through anyways. Thanks McDonald's, & to your horrible employee's for screwing up my morning! Thank goodness for my chemo nurses who brightened my day with their great...
Read moreShout out to the South McDonald’s manager Eric. On my one hour lunch break I placed an order via the app, to what I thought was the Logan location. Got in my stall, and was dinged “you are not at the right location.” So extremely annoyed, I drove all the way to the south one, well away from my workplace. Wasting precious time and fuel. I park, hit the I’m here, and again wrong location. I refresh the app. Same issue. So I walk in and ask to speak to someone. The gal at the registered fetched Eric who came to speak with me. He looked at the app and said “this went to Hryum.” Immediately my face fell further and my inner rage boiled. Before I could respond, I’m sure he could tell I was at my wits end, he said “If you don’t pick it up the charge will eventually void after 5 days. So you can just order here.” Somewhat relieved I opened my app to fetch the deal I was using, but of course it was “used”, he waived it off and gave me the promotion anyway. He then went on to say “if for whatever ever reason that charge doesn’t drop off your account come see me and we will get it sorted.” Then he quickly got me my food, hot and fresh. I went in there frustrated and disheartened and came away with a dose of restoration in the decency of human beings. Because I am well aware that it was NOT his problem AT ALL. He was not at fault nor was he involved. He had every right to say “Sorry you have to go to Hryum.” But he didn’t. He chose kindness and compassion and going the extra mile. Not only solving my issue on the spot but offering his services in the event I encountered the issue later of not getting my refund. I don’t know if the powers that be over that store see these posts but I hope they see this, and commend him for his extraordinary customer service and reward it with a bonus or a raise. Because believe me that guy...
