Old Grist Mill Bread Company — Restaurant in Logan

My friend and I have been eating here for years and on Wednesday, 6/19/2019 at aprox. 7pm we went to the north store location and got two sandwiches. His had all the veggies and two kinds of meat and it was one of the thinnest sandwhiches I’ve seen. They barely put anything of what he ordered on his bread. I got a tuna sandwich w sprouts and there was the least amount of tuna I’ve ever, ever seen. It seriously was such a small amount it looked like they had just used the bread to wipe the knife clean as opposed to actually putting any tuna on the sandwhich. There were also red onions on it which I definitely didn’t order. Both of our sandwiches were cut with a plastic knife and not inn any sort of way that could be called even. They weren’t even cut corner to corner. Everything tasted fine cuz your bread is good, it’s just the way the sandwiches, if that’s what you want to call them, were made. They were mostly bread and that’s not what we paid for. I get using super young kids to save on labor, but if you could please make sure they at least know how to make a proper sandwich, the quality of what we’re used to from your establishment, before you leave them running the store alone. It was half an hour to close and we feel that’s no excuse for not getting the sandwich we are paying for and the sandwich we are used to. After eating at your establishment for years this is going to make it much harder for me to go back if this is the quality I am going to start...

The service and care they took to meet what I was asking for, was outstanding. My wife will throw up unless she eats exactly what she is craving, so I made a very specific request, and Val was more than accommodating. I only had to bring in the batch amount (25lb) of the organic flour that I wanted them to use, for them to make my organic blue berry bagels request (and I brought in my own wild blue berries as well). I wanted to pay more but Val didn't let me

For those that are also overly health conscious, there was cornmeal on the bottom of the bagels, so I'll ask if that can not be used next time.

All in all, spectacular place

P.S. I had them make 4 dozen and froze all the ones my wife won't be...

Their bran muffins are inspiration for a good morning on a daily basis. Also the coffee is very reasonably priced. This bakery honestly sets the bar as far as local and affordable goes. If you haven't tried their delicious goods yet, you truly are missing out on life's wholesome pleasures. They also make cold cut sandwiches at the Logan central location that are excellent fuel for whatever the day's gonna throw at you. (only cold cut at this location, if you're into hot sandwiches, the shop south of the fork near Wal-Mart has great options). A big plus for drink options here is Ruby Red Squirt (a rare find in a convenience fridge).
