Del Taco, is BACK!!! In a huge way they came back. Went back after I left a review a year ago that really only the late shift manager deserved and not the store as a whole. Went back last week with a friend and the dining room alone was more packed than I'd ever seen before. You had two gentlemen from the corporate or main office and the owner who knew what they were doing and did a fabulous job making sure everything was running smoothly, which it was. I'm happy to be back eating good, fresh Mexican food again! They are making certain the public is happy on all fronts.
This evening at 11:45 I had a craving for one of my favorites, good food quickly restaurants, Del Taco. Unfortunately, the simple drive there and order didn't go as planned. The old saying in life, " It takes a lifetime to build a positive reputation, but it takes a second or in this case one individual to ruin it! As did the night shift manager this evening who refused to honor a store credit by the day shift managers, Cinthia. She wrote on the back of a receipt with her signature that I can order "ANY free meal, one." It was compensation for a meal that I clearly was not happy with from that morning. I returned it showed it to the manager so they could see why I wasn't happy with a meal I ordered at 2AM. If you sell food at 2AM and charge the same price as what is being sold at 5pm then is should taste just as fresh, not cold and old! Instead of asking for a refund, I was happy with store credit because I do enjoy almost every meal at Del Taco and been going there for 20yrs. Before I ordered I told the individual on drive through speaker i had a credit given to me for any one meal. The night manager clearly didn't believe me from the look on his face and demeanor after showing the handwritten note. He kept me waiting at 11:45pm as he attempted to call Cinthia to verify what I was saying to be true. He couldn't reach her after five minutes of trying. He came back to say she must have meant # four or five on the menu. How he came up with those #'s I have no clue. but night shift manager chose to not honor his day shift managers note. What I ordered was $17, he said I would need to pay additional $11 for the meal because with tax he said it would be $22. I guess he felt it was too high for a store credit when he never saw the old receipt. I asked for my handwritten not back and left there with NOTHING, other than still being hungry! It was clearly embarrassing to be treated as though I was either lying or taking advantage of the situation all while the other employees were staring at me like I did...

The worker named "Roger" ? Brown hair, 5'2? Took the order ~ 2 am.
I had an early day in the field.
The food ordered and paid for was cold and/or hard as a rock. I also wasn't provided a straw for the tea, as well as napkins, and the sauce that I had requested.
I drove back through, and very politely asked for my food to be remade fresh, as well as for the straw, napkins, and sauce that I had asked for.
.... I handed over the food previously paid for, and received two new bags of food.
I parked in the lot and noticed that there were still no straw, sauce or napkins. As well, the extra taco and churro that I had previously ordered, paid for, and handed back, were no longer among the items that were supposed to be remade.
I drove straight to the window and explained the situation calmly, but knowingly that I was being ripped off.
"Roger" explained that he/she was sorry that the food wasn't fresh... again... and he/she proceeded to make the actual fresh food.
"Roger" still didn't provide fresh food and proceeded to engage in violent verbal behavior after I had explained that the rock hard churro, ice cold tacos, and stale fries were unacceptable, as I wasnt content with paying for old food that had been sitting out for who knows however long.
"Roger" then proceeded to say... "What do you expect? This is Del taco fast food. Take what you get and f** leave."
This person obviously can't handle their job here (if handle a job anywhere), and absolutely does not serve food for the best of the location.
Hopefully this location gets its act together.

The lady swiped my card and then while I was waiting for my food she asked for my card AGAIN ..no explaining y she needed it..she had it for a while too, I got it back AFTER my food was handed to me 5 mins later.. So I check my bank account AND there is 11 all in a row charges of Del Taco staring back at me....
I calmly called them, explained and (the manager) said I needed to bring bank statements and the receipt, PLUS I WON'T get my money back TODAY???(told me its too busy to deal with...wow) AND on top of it I dont live by there!!...
NO "I'm sorry that this happend"..nothing...just an unconcerned annoyed response...
Ummm? HOW INCONVENIENT!! YOU charged ME 11 times! Which is alot of money $91.19!! AND NOW I have to show you proof?!?! Can u not check your end of day sales report with the order # and time like you said on the phone?!?!? Doesn't the regsiter and credit card machine report have to be balanced at the end of the day?..they said their credit card machine is down a lot🤦🏻♀️🤔. ..so many questions.. THIS makes no sense..I don't feel comfortable sharing my bank statements with del taco..when you took my money??!!
I guess NOW I have to call my bank to take care of it?!?!?.. $8.29 x 11 = $91.19...😡🤬😠😤 I have to wait a week or more now for my money to be reimbursed that was YOUR MISTAKE!?!?!?!?. ..pshhh.. thanks 👍👍👍🤦🏻♀️
