Nothing Bundt Cakes — Restaurant in Lone Tree

This makes me annoyed to have to have to write this review but I’ve been thinking about this experience all day. My family and I have been coming to nothing bundt cakes for a few years now for our birthday. This is mostly because of the delicious cakes but the service has always been excellent as well. After today’s experience I’m not sure I’ll return to this location specifically. I placed an order over the phone at 1pm on August 30(my birthday) and spoke to a women who interrupted me the entire phone call but also seemed annoyed that I wanted to place a special order to pick up. Once I got there it was pretty busy but the young girl behind the counter was handing everything great. I was told ahead of time that I would have to wait for them to finish my order so I had no problem with that at all. The young girl ran my credit car and I then waited for my order. About 10 minutes later a women with glasses came out with my box and started to yell my name. I then tell her it was mine and reached out to take it from her. She then snatched it back and rudely said “You need to pay for this!” I stood back completely shocked and said I already paid when I came in. She then questioned whether or not I did and asked me “you already paid?!”. After that I was beyond angry grabbed my order from her and left. When I got home almost all the cupcakes were pretty much just thrown in the box and frosting was everywhere. As someone who’s been in the service industry for close to 20 years I would have NEVER treated a customer so rudely. We worked with Chris from the beginning and he was kind and helpful! I have a pineapple allergy; most people would be surprised by the number of baked goods and other food items that include pineapple. They made sure that the cakes we sampled at the tasting did not have pineapple in the ingredients. We scheduled a tasting appointment and were able to try all their flavors (except carrot cake because, pineapple) but wait for the awesome bonus! They let you keep the 12 Bundtinis you tasted and believe me, you will want to hold onto that box, yum! We decided to go with their scrumptious, surprisingly filling Bundtinis. We had 12 dozen for 80 guests and chose the double chocolate chip, red velvet, and white chocolate chip raspberry. We had enough for each guest to have two or take one home and we had a few left over for later. For our cake we ordered an 8 inch red velvet Bundt cake with drizzle icing, delicious and moist! They will even fill in the hole for your cake topper. They even have a gluten free option, chocolate chip cookie; my gluten free guest seriously enjoyed this special treat! They will deliver if you are in their radius and will rent tiered trays and other supplies for a nominal fee. I live in Washington state and had never heard of Nothing Bundt Cake. I wanted to send my daughter a birthday cake in Denver. I wanted to send a traditional cake or cupcakes. A bundt cake? Ummmm, no. But after a lot of research online I found that they had the highest and most consistent ratings so I ended up ordering the white chocolate with raspberry bundt cake. My daughter loved it! She said it was really moist and yummy and the frosting was delicious. She also said that it was pretty so she sent me a picture of it and it was really pretty. They did such a wonderful job. I placed the order and a woman called me the next day just to clarify and confirm all of the details. "Dee" was so very nice and helpful. She went out of her way to make sure that there wasn't any mistakes on the order or delivery. I was really impressed with her customer service. Also, I ordered candles too. Without knowing it, the candles were not just your ordinary swirled birthday candles. They were the kind that have different colored flames. I was really surprised by that and impressed.
